I feel like we decided on our name so early into pregnancy! So I'm interested to know, do you already have your name picked out?

I'm due a little boy on 20/04 - before pregnancy we both liked Carter, but we found a name and fell in love, our little boy will be called Toby!

What's everyone else's choices? X

35 weeks atm and we had decided on names ( one for a boy and girl each) just after pregnancy was considered viable, at 6 weeks😬 at 20 weeks scan, got to know the sex of the baby, so finalised the same name we had chosen for a girl!

I Don't think you are too early in choosing a name, I call it preparedness😁 it has helped us bond more closely with the baby( bump still!)

3 weeks to go !!!!
Can't decide on a name changed my mind sooooo many times 😕

Eek so exciting isn't it! That's true I call him by his name which is nice and we have a few personalised bits!!

Also fair enough if you can't decide yet, if my partner hadn't thought of our boys name we'd be exactly the same as I wasn't 100% on Carter! Xx

I didn't know the sex either time.

By birth I was set on a boys name but no fixed girls name though I had a favourite.

I have one of each. DD did not suit the favourite name but another was perfect for her.

Nearing the end and changing my mind everyday, we have a girls name set in stone but it’s a boy and we have such differing opinions!

Smilesarecontagious · 17/01/2023 07:57

Yeah having a boy had a girls names set in stone just finding a boys name really tricky 😳

Kladebs · 17/01/2023 07:58

I'm 19 weeks. I had Haydn sorted for a boy within a couple of weeks, after my grandad who passed away just after I found out.
Really struggled with a girls name but Evelyn was suggested and I really liked it, then a few days ago I found out it was my great grandma's name so thats sorted.
Turns out I'm having a boy and a girl so get to use both. I don't think it's ever too early to pick names, if you change your mind later in the pregnancy or after birth, then the name changes. Simple 😊
Took forever to decide on my eldest name, then she went and changed it by deedpoll when she turned 18 anyway 😂

Actually we found out the gender so we could call him by a name through out the pregnancy didn't quite work out he's still "the baby"

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 17/01/2023 13:11

I'm not even pregnant yet and have a girls name sorted. We don't agree on a boys one 😂

PumpkinDart · 17/01/2023 13:32

Ohh I'm struggling with baby names. What names does everyone like? We aren't finding out if we're having a boy or girl and we're at loggerheads with names 😂 I'm a fan of more "old fashioned" names (which are actually not anymore as they're quite popular).

Boys name yes! Literally the only boys name I like is Theo so I'm pretty sure if baby is a boy wed name him that. Girls name not 100% love Maia but it's not a set in stone like a Theo is lol

I’m 23 weeks with DD2, and I’m 90% certain that we’ll go with the name that was our other possibility when DD1 was born. So we basically chose it over three years ago!

EnzoGreatestName2021 · 12/01/2024 08:52

if u name him that he will get bullied

PickledScrump · 12/01/2024 09:46

Oh I love Toby, I had Tobias/Toby on the list for my first, thought it was quite unusual as I’d only met one, I had a girl but there’s several Tobys in my daughter’s year. Lovely name.

I only found out the sex on my third pregnancy but we picked the name at 30 weeks, really helped my other children connect with the baby being able to use a name
