Cramping, bleeding and HCG of 55. Lost all hope

Just looking for any miracle stories to cheer me up, even though I’m 99% sure of my outcome it doesn’t hurt to remain positive!

I had an early scan today, due to previous ectopic and 3 miscarriages. Date of conception puts me at about 5w 3d but I don’t temp, only use OPKs.

I started having brown discharge (tiny amount) when wiping early hours of Saturday morning after a HORRENDOUS 24 hour sickness bug. I spent all that time straining throwing up so wondered if that could have brought the spotting on as initially I had no pain.

Anyway, by last night, it had turned bright red and today it’s heavier/I’m cramping. It feels like a miscarriage.

Still went to my scan, told her everything, she couldn’t see anything in my womb apart from a small bleed (hematoma?) No surprise she couldn’t see anything else with how early I am. My lining had thickened though, but ‘not as much as they expect’. They took blood and HCG is 55 which I know is low. I have to go back on Wednesday to see how my numbers increase or decrease!

Anybody had a similar experience with a positive outcome?!

I should mention my LMP makes me 6 weeks tomorrow, which is why they booked me in today. Before anybody questions why I had a scan so early! I’m being guided by the EPU who know all of my history.

So sorry you’re going through this. Could you have ovulated late? Bleeding can sometimes be caused by other things. I had a private hcg test at 5 weeks and my levels were almost 2000 but I think it is the doubling in 48hours that is the true marker. Sending lots of love to you x

Thank you so much! I got a positive OPK on 22nd December. I know they’re not fool proof - but I then had a sharp cramp on 29th December which I suspect was implantation as I got my first positive pregnancy test on 3rd Jan! But anything is possible I guess x
