Hi all

i hope everyone is well, I have just found out last night that I’m pregnant, only very early stages I think like 3 weeks, but I’m now trying to put things into place like the financials and how I will cope when I go onto mat leave, and I was working it out and I’ll get a considerable amount less than I get paid now.

How is it manageable, like can you get extra help and things, luckily I have my amazing finance who is really good and will be able to support me but I just wondered what it’s actually like living in Mat pay

You save up, you pool resources with you dp. Reducing income is always going to happen with maternity, though unless you're high earners you will get child benefit as a little extra once baby's born
