Heavy bleeding

So I’m 6 weeks pregnanct, Sunday afternoon I had heavy bleeding so was advised to see a doctor which did a vaginal examination and bloods tests.The doctor said my hcg levels on my blood result is only a 14 which is low for 6 weeks and due to seeing amount of blood they diagnosed it a miscarriage.

But the same day that morning I did two tests before I started bleeding in afternoon I did a clear blue digital test and saying pregant and also a first presponse test which showed two lines as seen in pictures but the doctor said there urine test strip showing negative.

I'm really sorry but you can get positive tests up to 3 weeks after a miscarriage.

It could be that the tests you're using are slightly more sensitive so still picking up what hcg is still in your system.

It's really shit, I know, but try and leave it a week or two and test again. Sorry you're going through this it's horrible.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this OP.

As a previous poster said, you would still get positives even after miscarriage. It takes a while for the hormones to drop. I think I finally got a negative test 3 weeks after my miscarriage.

Am so sorry for your loss, as pp said you can get a positive test for a long time. I had an MmC at 9weeks. It took 2 months for mine to show negative as I retained tissue. Give it a few weeks if it still is positive you may need to go to epu x

Hi OP,

I miscarried last month but at 6+5 and I had positive tests the morning of as I was still testing everyday. A few hours later the bleeding came.

I'm really sorry you're going through this. Maybe test again in 2/3 weeks and go from there.

You are getting positive pregnancy tests because you still have some HGC in your system but 14 is incredibly low and if your dates are correct this isn’t a viable pregnancy.

I had sex the 6 and a couple days later I had cramps , felt a little nauseated but no period. I’m 7 days late today. this morning i had cramping that was worse then the first time, when I went to the bath room there was some blood , bright color but no clots so I put a pad on. Couple hours went by nothing Now when I peed and wipe I got a Brown color with a little bet of blood. I have taken a test but it’s only been 6 days . I was told it was to early to test right now that it could take 21 days for my body to register what do you think.
