3rd baby sickness

Hello,

currently 7 weeks pregnant with DC no3 and honestly the sickness is off the chart!!! I say sickness but I mean nausea, I have to constantly eat to keep it at bay. I know many women know the feeling to well but I’ve never had this before!! I can remember a bit of on & off nausea with my previous children, but never all day every day!!

My question is really, is this normal? Has anybody else had this with a 3rd pregnancy?

I tried googling it but I’d rather hear it from women who’ve experienced it!

I started with symptoms at 3 weeks pregnant so very early but I put that down to knowing the deal with my body and pregnancy but my OH now keeps winding me up saying it’s twins. Which is scaring me as I do meet some of the criteria.

Any way, please share stories of your DC no3 and let me know!

thank you x

Have you looked up HG? It tends to start earlier and last longer than standard pregnancy sickness.

It could be on the spectrum but a mild version if you can eat and drink. There is some meds you can try but most stop you from vomiting not feeling sick.

Thank you!!! I think I’m just moaning because my other two pregnancies were a breeze with virtually no nausea so I’m probably in for a shock with this one lol x

@Ano321 I’m wanting to try for number 3 but my last 2 pregnancies are putting me off I was soooo sick with both, I had 2 boys maybe you’re having a different gender ? Not sure how truthful it is but some people are more sick with a girl but in my case I was very sick with 2 boys! I know a girl who had terrible sickness with her 2 boys and none with a girl so not sure how true it is!

Oh no bless you! I’ve had one of each and probably felt slightly more nauseous with my daughter but nothing extreme! It’s strange isn’t it I’ve heard it can be worse with girls but my nan had two and no nausea at all she said! I think mine might just be increasing with pregnancies. Maybe yours will decrease? I hope! X

Oh no, I can’t imagine having to crack on with two other children. I am 7.5 weeks with my first and the nausea is horrendous. Strangely, I normally feel ok first thing but then basically have nausea from 11am until I go to bed. Although I was up at 3am feeling sick last night. What a delight!

It's my first pregnancy but I had exactly what you're describing from 6-16 weeks. I was physically sick 2-3 times a week but otherwise felt nauseous 24/7. It's hellish! I hope it passes a bit sooner for you. I'm having a girl (just the one) but I think it's old wives tales that say you be worse with one than the other

I had this with my second having breezed through my first pregnancy. No twins thankfully! The only thing that is really different is that I was a few years older second time around

Ano321 · 16/01/2023 13:26

Oh no!! That sounds awful! Yeah I’m the same just lasts all day! It’s driving me insane. Mostly okay with my 2, the fatigue gets you though lol and when it comes to cooking meals - as I do it all during week days due to hours me and OH both work, it’s normally my favorite time of the day until now! Just gipping and cooking 😂 my kids are foodies though so I’m not throwing in the towel just yet! Freezers stocked up though just in case lol x

Im glad it’s passed!! Bet that’s a relief 😂 as gross as it sounds I can feel the sick right there in my throat but I’m just holding it in because I know if I start I’ll not be able to stop. Oh the joys of motherhood x

I had an abortion due to severe HG, its a decision that was very hard to make but I had other children to consider. I was never physically sick once but it was so bad i wanted to die.

Sorry if this isn't quite the response you were hoping for!

Handhold for you op.

Ano321 · 16/01/2023 13:36

Youre right, it’s the other children you have to consider, and obviously yourself! x

Hey there 👋 I’m in a similar position with DC3, currently 15 weeks & vomiting most days with non stop nausea, it’s draining 😣 Never had it this bad with my other pregnancies (2DS).. starting to think this one may be a girl! .. Always here if you want to talk OP, hope you’re feeling better soon 🤞🏻
