Gardening while pregnant

Hi ladies, wondering if any avid gardeners have given up their hobby during pregnancy because of the risk of toxoplasmosis, or do you just wear gloves and wash hands thoroughly? I'm due in June... obviously baby is the number one priority, but I've heard conflicting advice on this one and wondering what others are doing.
Thanks!

Not a gardener, beyond the minimum to stop it developing into a jungle, but did own a cat through both pregnancies. Just used gloves when dealing with litter tray and washed hands afterwards. I also washed hands after stroking her, but that's sensible with animals anyway.

I'm sure if you take sensible steps, it will be fine. You give up so much of yourself when you become a parent, don't let go of a hobby you love unless you really have to.

Gloves and wash hands really well. Avoided any known cat poop areas of the garden and my husband did all cleaning off of tools, boots after muddy walks etc.

Definitely keep it up - I was planting up a bed the day before I went into labour and I think the relaxation of gardening and the squatting helped kickstart it!

Thank you both. You've given me enough confidence to get out today with gloves at the ready. I find it so good for my mental health, I'd be so sorry to let it go.
