Is this my mucus plug. TMI sorry for the picture picture

Hi everyone . Currently 34+6 weeks. And went to the toilet tonight, wipes and this is what I noticed. I’m not sure if it’s my mucus plug or just excess discharge. Also I can’t remember exactly when I lost my mucus plug with my daughter years ago. Does anyone know if this is my mucus plug or just discharge. So sorry for TMI. Also what does it mean if it is my mucusplug

Mine looked a bit more 'substantial' than that and had a bit of blood with it, my waters went at the same time. I'd say it could be a bit of the plug .

It looks a bit like one. It would be worth checking with the nhs line just in case you are going into early labour. Hopefully someone with more experience will be along shortly.

I would ring the maternity unit and see what they advise , as you are only 34 weeks

Yes is probably nothing but better safe than sorry. It will put your mind at ease too.

Yeah it grows back, when it came it just before labour there was copious amounts and it had mood in it x

thankyou for your replies. I rang this mornign just to check . Midwife said she will guess it’s just discharge . Since then I’ve had a firmer lump. And I’ve been getting tightenings but not sure wether now im thinking about it they are more noticeable. My bmi is only 17 so my tightenings are strong.

im going to monitor the plug tonight and the tightenings and ring if needs be in the morning . I have Midwife at the doctors on Monday afternoon too

Good luck. If you get worried definitely ring the midwife again.

Call your midwife again or go in if you are concerned, as you are so early on.
