Just that, please. Had debilitating ones through first pregnancy but didn’t take anything. Now getting them increasingly at 22 weeks in second pregnancy and not sure can/want to cold with it alongside caring for my toddler and working. Any experiences of people who had them and took SSRIs please? Did it stop them? Thanks.

Hi sorry to hear you’re struggling. I’ve had anxiety and panic attacks, particularly around work or mini ones in social settings for the last few years. I wanted to go on an ssri but the doctor said as we were trying to conceive I should wait until after. I have ‘managed’ them with beta blockers at work (teacher) for the last few years. I’m now pregnant and have been off unwell so haven’t taken the beta blockers. There seems to be some evidence in later pregnancy they can slow babies heart and they can restrict growth too. From what I could find ssri’s were generally safe, the only bad stuff I could see were the studies about potential autism but none really seemed to be proven. When are you having panic attacks? I think an ssri most likely would help, I’m on a lot of Facebook groups and they sound life changing. I plan to go on one after the birth
