Baby movement increase

I’m 30 weeks +4. Tonight I feel like my baby hasn’t stopped for the last 2 hours which isn’t like him, movement is usually a lot less and not at this time. I rang the Maternity assessment unit and they told me not to worry, more movement isn’t a concern only less movement- anyone had any experience with baby moving more being a concern?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If you are worried ring again and tell them you are concerned and you would like to be assessed

I’d phone back and see if you can get a different person and explain there’s been a drastic change in your babies movements and you are worried. They do say to report any changes.

Years ago I reported a change in my babies movements, they said the same, to only worry about a reduction, I took that advice and it was a terrible decision, so I’d always encourage to phone back. Although to be clear, it wasn’t an increase in my case, just a change, so don’t panic! But also don’t be afraid to call again.

Have you had anything rather sugary or cold to eat/drink? That may of give baby a energy boost?

If you are worried
Dont listen to other people
Trust your instincts

@1stimeMum2b

Please ring back if this continues. For my DS he wouldn't stop moving and it felt so scary like he wanted to come out. I went into hospital and was induced early as due to him being so active they couldn't get a resting heartbeat. Please ring again. You should go in for ANY change in babies movements. Good luck OP and keep us posted x
