Echogenic Focus update.
I wanted to post this just to see if anyone else has ever been through it and maybe could ease my anxiety as well. At 28 weeks I got a call from my midwife saying our high risk Dr reviewed my anatomy scan and found an EIF - which can mean nothing - or can be a sign of Down syndrome.
I just want to preface this by saying I know DS isn’t the end of the world, but it’s definitely scary and life altering to hear.
At my appointment, the MFM said she is looking perfect (besides her scary ultrasound pics 😂🫣) and the isolated EIF is still there but he’s confident DS is of no concern. She’s actually measuring 2 weeks ahead and has a great femur length which I know can be a sign for DS as well.
Has anyone been through this and could share their outcome?
