Putting a frer upside down?

Can putting the frer face down by mistake affect the test at all? I done the test then laid it down but didn't realise it was upside down when I went to check the result. It was still positive but it was a lot lighter than Tuesdays test.
I guess I'm just clutching at straws as it's probably not a good sign it's getting lighter 🥺

So sorry OP, I’ve been there. I found it comforting to know how common this is, you will get there. Be gentle with yourself.

Thank you SBHon! just checked the cheapie and it's as dark as the other tests I done on the 6/8/10/11th of this month but the frer definitely was lighter yesterday so I guess I need to accept they're more reliable than the cheapies and that the frer will be even lighter tomorrow 😒. Expected the cheapie to be lighter too.

That’s potentially good that the cheapie was dark, but impossible to know yet. It’s such a rollercoaster isn’t it. I wish we all had crystal balls to peek in.

@WishToBeContent I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I don’t want to give false hope but a lot of people bleed in early pregnancy and it’s ok. Until the tests are negative (or getting considerably lighter) then don’t think it’s all over quite yet.

If it it a chemical then what someone said above about being more fertile after I personally agree with as after my CP I got pregnant the following month. Unfortunately that was another CP but I then got pregnant again the following month (so 3 cycles in a row) and now I’m 8 weeks and hoping for the best.

Should it be red bleeding? It's not heavy or filling a panty liner much but it's definitely bright red. I guess I'll need to keep an eye on it but it's not looking good :( x

Thank you. It's v sad that so many women have to go through this

@SBHon I really wish that too. The bleeding is a bit heavier so I'm guessing tomorrows frer will be lighter. Really clutching at straws now with the test this morning.

Hope it goes the way you want. I've read of other ladies with a hematoma bleeding for weeks
independently of the pregnancy.

But if it doesn't, at least it will be over soon if you started beeding and you can try again.

I had a lighter test today and my breasts pretty much stopped being sore. So all indications are there will be another miscarriage. And tbh I prefer for the bleeding to start as soon as possible, as I am in deep agony.

That is true. I guess it depends how much bleeding is okay and how much isn't.

Sorry to hear you're going through it. Really hope you have a positive outcome too.

The top is Fridays and bottom is todays so I guess I am having a loss.
Quite a lot of cramping and heavy-ish bleeding. Passed a bigger clot this morning and now just bleeding again.

Do I just let nature take its course and wait for next month?

I'm really gutted.

So sorry OP. Unfortunately, I think it's time to make peace with it.

Wait until you stop bleeding and have a scan to make sure everything was passed :( And then try again...

So many of us have to go through this and it is so so crushing. My thoughts go to you.

allgoodthings84 · 15/01/2023 10:54

@WishToBeContent with the bleeding, cramping, clots and the line being no darker I would say you’re having a chemical. I’m so so sorry.

I was having a fertility GP appointment just after my second CP so told my GP about both then so they could be logged in case of a third loss (as this is when they will refer you to fertility clinic). There’s nothing they can do this early they will tell you to wait it out and contact them in a week if still testing positive or still bleeding but if you have a second loss I would get them both logged on your record just in case.

WishToBeContent · 19/01/2023 14:02

My tests are almost negative now. Just a squinter today. Was told to come in and get a hcg blood test today at the doctors. I told them it wasn't needed but they insisted as the tests aren't negative yet.
Had anybody else gotten the blood test done to basically confirm the pregnancy has ended?
I just know they'll tell me what I already know. Feeling sad enough as it is at the moment

Mine are fainter and i am 8 weeks scan i done healthy baby everyone is different

allgoodthings84 · 19/01/2023 14:42

@WishToBeContent they will want to make sure if you are pregnant that it’s in the right place etc and I think the first step is the HCG test. It could just be that you have faint tests some people do. I know if my lines are faint then I’m having a chemical but everyone is different it doesn’t mean definitely you are too.

WishToBeContent · 19/01/2023 14:46

Thank you to you both for replying.
I am worried they're thinking ectopic. I don't have any pain but I know you don't always. I don't really have any symptoms anymore. Still have sore boobs but that's all.
I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Just hope it's not ectopic! I would be around 6 weeks now but I definitely think it was a chemical.

So sorry for your loss. I've recently had 2 chemicals. Hoping for the next one to stick x

Iamnothe1 · 19/01/2023 15:26

If you are having eptopic normally u would get a lot of cramping and slight bleeding... Thats what i have been told anyway... But if u are worried still its best to go to the doctors so they can book u in for a blood test to confirm pregnancy.... No worries i was stressing aswel because my lines are soo faint u can barely see it turns out baby is developing well so far x

I had a heavy bleed and lots of cramping on Saturday. Now it's just spotting. No pain in between. And tests getting a lot lighter. That's why I'm convinced it's a chemical. I'm sure I'll get an answer either way tomorrow with the bloods

@WishToBeContent Im soo sorry you are going through this i haven't had any cramping or bleeding just that my lines are soo faint u can barely see them... Im sending baby dust your way, whatever the outcome is just remember not to blame yourself and u are a strong woman xx

Iamnothe1 · 19/01/2023 15:40

Thank you @Iamnothe1 for your really kind words. It's comforting to not feel so alone when going through this. Will definitely give an update on here when I find out but I'm almost certain it's a chemical. Thank you again x

Results for hcg was less than 5 so was definitely a chemical. On to this month now as I've finished bleeding. Trying to be positive

allgoodthings84 · 20/01/2023 12:59

@WishToBeContent I’m so sorry. I have read a lot that people are more fertile the 3 months after a chemical and it was definitely true for me 💕

Ella1211 · 20/01/2023 14:36

So sorry OP. It's hard for sure. But at least it wasn't ectopic and you can start trying right away. Hugs. Take care!
