Am I pregnant or another chemical? :(

Hi.

I took this test yesterday. Today my period was supposed to come. I had a very small trace of pink now that I just wiped...

I had chemicals a couple of months ago and I'm terrified it will go the same way...

I have all the symptoms I have when I'm on my period and I'm getting extremely anxious...

Anyone experienced something similar?

Thanks

Hi @Ella1211 It’s hard to say at the moment as a bit of bleeding can be ok in early pregnancy or it could be a chemical. I’m really sorry but all you can do it wait it out at this stage. I would wait a couple days and take another test. I’m sorry you have this worry I know how it feels 💕

Mae2398 · 11/01/2023 18:28

it could just be implantation bleeding.
fingers crossed🤞🏽Xxx

I'm in the same boat, happy to accompany and hand hold on the wait.
Your test is very positive, as is mine, but how it changes over time will be important. There is nothing at the moment to suggest this will end as a CP again.

I had a CP in July, which was my only other positive in 2.5 years of trying. The test got lighter then following day, and then negative the day after that. I started bleeding 3 days after the positive (although I didn't test until I was 6 days overdue so it was likely positive for a while before I knew).

Currently anxiously waiting the next few weeks and will book a scan in once I'm 6 weeks to confirm everything is okay.
Currently feel quite poorly, but from anxiety rather than pregnancy I think.

This time I first tested day before I was due.

@pinkpirlie the waiting is so difficult... but indeed there's no other choice.

Let's hope our time will come!

Fingers crossed for both of us! Let me know how it goes. 🤗

I've had spotting in both my successful pregnancies, yet didn't bless until all the tests turned negative with my MC. Fingers crossed it just some implantation spotting, thats a great line on your test!

LittleLottle · 12/01/2023 20:54

Didn't bleed*

Mummy2Girls22 · 12/01/2023 22:27

Hi @Ella1211 I found out we was pregnant 4th November had a big bleed 2 days later and brown spotting 2 weeks later I was a nervous wreck my 2 previous babies I had no bleeding the wait for a scan felt so long but eventually I had my scan on Monday and found out I was 16weeks!! I would of had not idea as the month before I found out I had a light period for 4 days with period pains but it turns out that was implantation and I had no idea so it might not be bad news I have everything crossed for you ❤️

I apologize for coming back on the same topic, but I m really stressed as I had several positives in the last year and never got to hear a heartbeat.

The last 2 tests were taken today from the same urine... as the first really got me worried. It seems the line doesn't get stronger . Anyone had a similar line progression and the pregnancy was ok?

Thank you.

Apart from the second to last one I can see a progression. Please try not to keep on testing (and that’s rich coming from me) as it’s just going to stress you even more!

Excitedmumma1 · 14/01/2023 08:03

Ps I also find it harder to see a progression on the cheap ones

pinkpirlie · 14/01/2023 08:12

I don't have advice re the progression, but I asked my partner to hide all the pregnancy tests last night as I am so anxious about having another loss and I realised they are not helping.
So I can only advise to try to stop testing and just wait to see what happens over the next few weeks. Take each day on its own, one day at a time. Do you have someone who can help you do hide them?

I know the struggle is real, and you want confirmation that it is going well, but when you don't get what you want to see it makes things more stressful and you will only know for sure once you have that first scan.

I really hope for sticky bean for you xx

Ella1211 · 14/01/2023 08:13

@Excitedmumma1 thank you so much for replying. I'll have a scan on 23. Didn't go for the blood tests yet as I had soooooo many this year and it didn't help much.

@pinkpirlie

True. I just need to wait. I very much struggle as I am so scared of another disappointment.
Thank you. And hope you will get the good news we are waiting on your scan

@Ella1211 I never had line progression and when I spoke to my midwife she said I should only ever look for a Second line not for how dark it gets. From that day on I stopped testing as I was sending myself crazy doing tests every day and I realised i wasn't doing myself any good 😣 I still have everything crossed for you and the tests all look great!!

Ella1211 · 15/01/2023 20:52

@Mummy2Girls22 so good to know! Never again checking line progression. It brought me in a terrible state of panic.

I am now wondering about everything I ate or drank, every pill I took etc.

I will wait for the scan on 23rd..

Thanks a lot for the good wishes and for being so.kind.
