Reduced baby movements

Hi. Need advice. I am a neurotic first time mum to be. At 35 weeks i have noticed reduced movements from the baby. I went to the hospital yesterday and had a trace. As soon as the monitor went on the baby started to kick, up until that point I hadn't had 10 movements. Today I have had 10 movements but the baby has been very quiet this evening, when he(?) is usually active. What should I do? Need advice. Please help.

I did this - with my third
tell you what sorts it... eat chocolate and / or drink fizzy pop. sets baby off wriggling like mad.
Just remember though, babies sleep a lot, something which will be appreciated when LO is born, and also that your baby changes habits depending on what it feels like. Lots of growing to do before being born, y'see.
try to relax, get your feet up and try to chill out. the minute you decide you might like a sleep will be cue for the babe to hit the gymnastics

PS - space is getting pretty limited in there and "he" can't move anything like before. would that account a bit for 'reduced' movement feeling?

Hi Gigglewitch. Thanks. Followed your advice and the little monkey started to wriggle loads. My friend thinks it wont be long as I've felt that he (?) has dropped lower and am having crampy pains off and on. Fingers crossed! Thanks again.

No, less space to move is a wrong thing to think tbh. You should still get 10 movements in 12 hours and it is all about baby's usual pattern of movements changing.

I am just 32 weeks, and yesterday and today there has been a distinct reduction in the amount of activity. But I am having small bouts of movement still going on, but not as active definitely. I am sure I am getting 10 movements in 12 hours so is this ok?

If at all worreid you need to speak to your midwife. Any change in movement patterns need checking out.

I am 32 weeks and my baby is definately much much less active than he was before. I check with a heart to heart monitor from tesco's (about 20 pounds) and his heart is always beating away fine when I check. I know there is less space in there now, but it freaks me out and when I do feel him move I tend to break into tears. -sad ain't I-
It's something I plan to mention to MW at my appointment next week, hopefully she can reassure me.

I am not worried as such, but very aware of the change in movement pattern. On my previous pg's there was a change in the type of movements as time got closer, but not suddenly less active movement. But I think I am getting enough odd prods from the baby to be sure that all is well, in fact everytime he does give a push, it seems tobe triggering braxton hicks contractions. So perhaps that it making it more difficult to move too?! Obviously if the movements become fewer I will be heading straight to talk to midwife.

I get BH's all the time at the moment rainbow. If it helps to compare notes.
