I am 22 weeks pregnant, first baby via IVF. I have been plagued with anxiety the entire time and had dark red/brown spotting on and off for the first 15 weeks, everything always fine but never any cause. Last night I went to the toilet and A LOT of bright red blood come out and was a lot when wiping. This was after doing 2 poo's (sorry TMI) but bleeding was 100% coming from my vagina. Saying this as I don't know if relevant as I have been really constipated. There were no clots and it seemed to subside. I phoned the hospital and they told me to come up. When in the hospital I did another poo and some more vaginal bleeding but was darker red. They heard the heartbeat and checked my cervix - which was closed - but couldn't find any cause for the bleed and any blood they could see was old blood, which today when I wipe is there in very small amounts. Sent me away and told me to come back if happened again. I just feel so confused and scared. Did anyone have anything similar or have any advice? I have booked a private scan at 5pm this evening as I need reassurance by seeing the baby. The hospital didn't do this last night as they said they cervix check and heartbeat was better. Thank you!! x
