Has anyone had/got coccyx pain during pregnancy? It just came on all of a sudden from no where and the pain is unbelievable

It's all to do with the relaxing muscles and joints ready for birth. With any luck it'll stop being painful once you've given birth

I had this in both pregnancies. You can get a referral for physio, but tbh by the time you get an appt (especially now) you'll have given birth!

Sympathies, it's agony, especially for those desk based

Yes, I did and it was very painful. I think I was told it was the relaxin hormone, loosening the body's muscles and ligaments etc & the changes due to that. I might have remembered that wrong (not helpful, sorry!) But yes, I had coccyx pain in pregnancy.

Yes I had this - sitting at a desk made it so much worse. I also found sitting on anything remotely hard or unsupportive very painful, and took to carrying around a memory foam donut cushion for a few weeks which really helped but you do feel a bit of an idiot. Luckily since Christmas it’s been much better, I think because I didn’t sit at a desk for weeks. Sympathies, it is very sore.

Oh god I had this in both my pregnancies. You can get a little pillow shaped like a donut to sit on that relieves the pressure. Otherwise you just have to wait…as soo as the baby is born, instant relief.
