Hello Everyone!
My name is Naomi Sawyer and I am a Mental Health Recovery Worker in London. I am currently studying MSc ‘Psychodynamics of Human Development’ with the British Psychotherapy Foundation and Birkbeck University.
As part of my course, I am required to conduct an infant observation (observing a new-born baby within the home) for 2 years. Therefore, I am looking for expecting parents that live in London. The infant observation provides me with a unique opportunity to learn about child development in a practical way. Furthermore, it is an essential component along my journey of pursuing a Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
An infant observation entails:
Regular visits for an hour a week from myself.
In these visits, I will remain a quiet, and non-disruptive presence - I will not take notes while I am observing.
Real names will not be used, and my observations will remain confidential within my seminar group.
If you are interested, or would like more information/questions answered, then please do not hesitate to comment on this thread. Also, if you know anyone who may be interested, please pass on this information to them.
Thank you for your help, it is really appreciated! :)
