Leaking?

Hi, I’m 25 weeks pregnant and noticed on Friday a wet feeling in my knickers; it was clear fluid , enough to feel wet but not soaking. I put a pad and was dry for the rest of the day and all of yesterday. Tonight I’ve had a small circle of wetness in my knickers again. It doesn’t really have a smell and there is some white discharge which is normal for me. My midwife takes ages to get back to me so I’m wondering does anyone know what this is?

My fear is it’s a slow leak of amniotic fluid or discharge or urine?? It’s clear and no real smell. It doesn’t happen all of the time and I can lie down and stand up and no leaks.

Hey OP, it sounds like it could be AF but I’d advise going in to get it checked out as soon as you can. Don’t wait for your midwife, call your maternity unit/hospital. They won’t mind & would much rather check you over if you’re worried, hope everything is ok!

Yes, call your maternity unit. They can do a test and see if it’s amniotic fluid. Don’t feel embarrassed - I went in with both my last two pregnancies with this to get it checked - they are quite used to it. Better to get it checked. In my case it was wee!! Good luck.
