Clear blue ultra early pregnancy test Evap line or positive?

Hi all,

so I know the instructions clearly state disregard test after 10 minutes however I know of people who have been in the same boat and positive. I took a test this morning and it was negative for around 10 mins. Then after about 15 a faint line appeared… evap or positive? I know it’s probably wishful thinking but after miscarriages.

very thin and grey. I wouldn’t count it as a positive I’m afraid.
Re test in a couple of days.
good luck.

Laura3128 · 08/01/2023 15:12

That was bad lighting, it’s actually a blue line

Can definitely see a line in the second picture 😃

northernmam · 08/01/2023 15:16

I see the line, but it's very thin. Here's the BFP I had with my daughter 2 years ago and it came up within the time frame. Maybe test again tomorrow? Good luck! Xx

Looks like a typical CB evap. They all get a line outside of the time frame

SeeminglyAbsurd · 08/01/2023 15:20

I can see the blue now on the second picture but it’s more like a dye run now with a too thin line in the middle. Sorry op.

BuffaloCauliflower · 08/01/2023 15:22

It might be something. Not the most helpful to say now but I do think the only tests worth buying are the First Response Early Response (FRER) tests - pink dye much less likely to give a false reading and they’re the most sensitive, I’d get some of those

Jomummy1013 · 08/01/2023 15:24

I think evap but I hope not!

Jomummy1013 · 08/01/2023 15:25

How many DPO are you? Is this a clear blue early one or a regular one?

Laura3128 · 08/01/2023 15:26

Iv just done second one in the pack and see what happens with that, check within time frame and without. But I will be sure to get a first response tomorrow from chemist.

so frustrating evap lines are even a thing.

I have PCOS so my periods are erratic so I couldn’t tell you if I’m late or not - I mean I am late, but not late for me.

but have regular intercourse so couldn’t tell you what day conception could of happened.

I try not to do ovulation sticks as I become obsessed.

I had the same and it was a BFN. I also suffered with false positives on First Response so I now do the pee in a container method & have two tests always! Saves so much heart ache.

Fingers crossed for you OP

Laura3128 · 08/01/2023 15:48

i always pee in a cup as I do not know how people do it otherwise without making a mess 😂.

I have a daughter who is 4, Iv had 2 miscarriages and been diagnosed with PCOS since having her as previous to my daughter my periods was text book and I feel with her within a month of trying.

First miscarriage fell easily but second took a year and this time Iv been trying for around a year, but never had evap lines.

second test has done the same as first. Nothing came up within first 10 mins but within 15 mins a faint line which then gets darker. 😫. It’s just torture not knowing

It’s definitely trying to do something but it’s very thin. I’d try and get a different test tomorrow. 🤞🏻For you

Laura3128 · 08/01/2023 16:14

does the time frame that close to it make a huge difference? Obviously I know it says 10 mins but if very early maybe it’s making a minute and it’s blue lines

I’ve seen my tests in the bins have lines so time frame plays a part. Try a first response tomorrow - fingers crossed for you! x

Laura3128 · 08/01/2023 22:25

Not sure if it makes a difference but the lines have got thicker and darker and the swab bit is still damp and not dry.

clearly I am obsessing, it’s just frustrating.

I will test in the morning and hopefully get the result I’m hoping for.

OP this looks like my first positive, and I am very much still pregnant. So sorry to hear what a tough time you've had, but hoping things go well for you this time around.

Pollywoddles · 09/01/2023 07:00

I never like those thin lines on the CBs. I’ve a long history of miscarriage and I would only ever use pink dye tests like FRER. I hope you get some clarity today OP.

Laura3128 · 10/01/2023 20:19

Update - done first response and was negative. Came on period today. Will never buy these tests again.

Hello, wondering if this line looks like an evap? it did come up within 10 mins and has got slightly darker in the last 30 mins. Thanks!

This is mine, I’m also testing negative on every other test but this was my CB 6 days early. I’m meant to be due on 4 days ago, but I had a mc mid November and haven’t had af yet. Going to wait another week and retest. Any update on yours? X

@colleydonna52 its not a clear photo but I’d say negative. Those tests are crap, get a decent pink dye test
