Hi all,

I am so confused. My period was due yesterday and it's very very regular (see attached chart). I usually spot 2-3 days before my period which then results in quite heavy periods. I know what it feels like when my AF is due and it just doesn't feel like it.

I started stopping 3 days ago which was very light and has completely stopped yesterday. I had the same with my two other children and implantation bleeds.

Nothing overnight either, had a wee, took a test and it's negative but could this be due to my short cycles, I ovulate late? I believe (due to discharge, I ovulated 26/27. We DTD 27& 28 at night so I wasn't sure in the first place if I could have got pregnant but could this be the reason why the test is negative.

I know my body but this is throwing me off. It's very confusing. Sorry for the essay. I might not even get a response but at least I got it off my chest.

that would make you 11/12dpo so a chance not showing in a pregnancy test yet. I would use a frer tomorrow morning if possible as at 12dpo most people get a positive on a frer if pregnant even if it’s a faint line. If not wait until 14dpo as definitely should have a line by then

good luck 😊

@allgoodthings84 thanks for your response! I am driving to sainsburys in a bit and will buy one of those 3 pack digital clear blue digital ones.

I researched a bit more and you're right. I might just have a short luteral phase and never really thought about this as with my other two, I had a positive after my missed period but I used to have a 28-30 day cycle before my second child so things were different.

@gemloving male sure you’re at least 14dpo with a digital as they aren’t sensitive at all so if used too early can show a false negative. I would go for a frer pink dye test first as will show positive a lot earlier than a digital

allgoodthings84 · 08/01/2023 15:32

@gemloving frers (the early detection first responses) have a sensitivity of 6 and a clear blue digital 25 I think

@allgoodthings84 I wish I had read this before I drove to sainsburys and spent £18 on two digital tests. Have they always been this expensive? I don't remember this.

I'll test tomorrow nevertheless. I then have one more for the day after.

My husband thinks I'm going mad 🤣

@gemloving good luck. I paid £15 in my local Sainsbury’s 2 weeks ago so they must have gone up 😮 they are expensive especially as the battery in them runs out after 24 hours or so and they go blank

gemloving · 09/01/2023 08:12

@allgoodthings84 so I followed the instructions exactly and this happens (see photo). This only happens to me lol!

Still no sign of my period though.

gemloving · 09/01/2023 18:11

@allgoodthings84 I wasn't going mad and do know my body!! Thanks for listening. You've been my life saver x

@gemloving yay congratulations! I knew the frer would give you the true result better than the others. There’s no disputing that live 😊

Line not live 😂
