Earlier in my 3rd but it can depend on where your placenta is positioned. If it's anterior you will feel a lot less this early on.

TokenGinger · 07/01/2023 22:43

I'm only on my second baby but I didn't feel him move until 25 weeks. I have an anterior placenta x

Completely normal. They say up to 24 weeks before feeling movement before they'll start worrying or doing extra checks.

@Laujade88x I am on 3rd baby with a gap of 18 and 15 years, i didnt feel any movements until 23+5 and now sometimes still have to really chill out and lie down to feel little one at 26 weeks

Oh wow that's a massive gap I thought mine was a large gap and I was mad 😅 to be fair I'm enjoying not being beaten up as my last one was a boy and he was soooo active all the time and I've got another boy on the way so interesting to see how he is as it actually sums up to how active my son is now 🤣🤣

@Laujade88x I know, I feel a little crazy starting all over again but cannot wait. Oh so your pregnancies havent been the same even though they are the same sex? How are you feeling this time after a 12 year gap, not going to lie I have found it horrendous

Was yours planned? Mine defo wasn't I was only saying the day before I realised I was late on how it's so much easier having older kids as they don't rely on you etc and how I didn't want to have to do it again - while being at my mates who's got a 18m old lol then next day I'm starting all over again 🤣🤣
I can't wait now it was alot of thinking whats the best thing to do at 1st but I was 100% I had to go through with it there was no other option I was willing to take.
Tbf I can't remember much from either of mine, iv got the heartburn which I got from my girl which was really bad I didn't get it much from my boy, iv got alot bigger quicker this time and I'm only 19wks and im uncomfortable at night trying to get comfortable, but this time round has hit me harder with my energy levels the most but I put it down to being 12yrs older but the other parts of morning sickness I didn't get it with the other 2 so that's been a relief just been living off gaviscon instead 😅

With my third I didn't feel anything at all until 23 weeks.

By contrast my first was around 17 and second 13 weeks.

BelleSauvage9 · 08/01/2023 13:22

Currently exactly 19 weeks with my third (posterior placenta). I could swear I've felt some little nudges in the last couple of weeks but they're not so obvious that I feel I can say for definite!

This is exactly how I'm feeling same, I can feel little nudges but not often enough but I'm sure it's him moving around, I'm just enjoying it while it last before his overly active lol but would be nice to feel more to keep my mind sane not knowing what's going on in there for certain x

This is literally me! I'm 19 weeks with my third, felt the odd roll type thing but nothing consistently. I was sure if I should be concerned but then nothing 'feels' wrong.

I think alot of us go through the same feeling and by the sounds of it, it seems normal I guess they are still pretty small so not strong enough x

I've got obvious movement now 👍 how about you op?

Belami · 15/01/2023 17:20

Hi ladies ,

I'm about 19 weeks now and had some obvious nudge type movements on a couple of days last week and then since then I've only felt small butterfly/popping sensations every now and again.

At my 16 week app the midwife said I probably won't feel anything consistent until 24 weeks but I'm wondering if this is normal? Are you all feeling strong sensations or is it just the sporadic butterfly feeling ever now and again?

Getting nervy about my 20 week scan now !!

Lindtcat · 15/01/2023 17:25

@Belami very normal. With my first pregnancy I didn't feel consistent movement until about 22ish weeks. And even there wasn't any pattern to it. Just random, but it was everyday. As the weeks go by, you'll feel a lot more. I'm pregnant with my second and on my 20w scan, baby was dancing but I couldn't feel a thing.

Belami · 15/01/2023 19:32

Thank you for your response @Lindtcat !! Hope you're doing well. It's really good to know it's normal and others are feeling similar ♥️

Moosh18 · 15/01/2023 19:36

@Belami I'm 18 weeks with no 2 and sometimes I feel really obvious kicks but not very often certainly not everyday, then sometimes just flutters or rolling type feelings, yesterday I felt so so so much, today I could count on one hand and even then it's been very faint! Xxx

Belami · 16/01/2023 10:34

@Moosh18 thanks for sharing! It's so scary not knowing whether you should be feeling more or if that is the right feeling etc isn't it. Xx

Moosh18 · 16/01/2023 10:39

@Belami honestly it's a daily panic with me!! I think I expected to feel more by now and some days they are so so clear the movements so then o get worried when it's literally nothing the next day

Hey,
This is my thread I started as I was worried especially being my 3rd pregnancy everyone says u feel alot sooner but iv had hardly any noticeable movement.
Had my 20week scan today and everything is perfect 🥰 💙 my placenta is at the front so I will feel less movement but will evenly get stronger regardless to where the placenta is x

@Laujade88x so pleased all is well for you! I'm dreading my 20 week scan! I had a scan at 16 weeks but I'm still so nervous xx

Belami · 16/01/2023 14:00

@Moosh18 when's your 20 week scan ? Mine is next week, I'm so nervous too !! 😣 xx

Moosh18 · 16/01/2023 14:16

@Belami it's on 30th! So a week on Monday! Feels like forever away! I'm hoping by then movements are more regular, we did have a gender scan at 16 weeks and all looked well but it hasn't helped my anxiety x
