36 weeks - how you all feeling?

I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and I've been having light period cramping on and off the last few days. My Bp is a bit all over the place so I'm being watched for preeclampsia, I'm tired constantly, take gaviscon every evening for heartburn, and I've finally let go of the guilt of days at home with the toddler (today we played a lot with dinosaurs, his toys, and he watched 2 hours of TV...) For the most part, I'm doing ok and quite relaxed but I'm definitely ready to not be pregnant anymore! The pressure is horrendous too...
How is everyone else feeling at 36 weeks?

Not quite 36 weeks OP but I'm 35 weeks tomorrow.
Baby has dropped since Xmas and feeling a lot of pressure and pelvic/crotch pain now too. Backache is becoming a daily issue and I'm pretty certain I'm getting BH contractions (never had this with my first!).

Are you being induced due to your BP? I was induced because of this the first time. This time around, BP doesn't seem to be an issue thankfully.

Absolutely relate to being constantly tired too and still holding onto the guilt when it comes to not having the energy to play as much with DS1 :(

36 weeks today, not as big as I was with my first. However this one likes to mess with me, some days she’s in my rib cage and I can’t not breathe even at my desk. Some days she’s kicking me in my cervix or even…even my bum. Nothing like a twinge in ones bowels.

I can’t sleep unless I’m flat on my back which I’m. It allowed to do. I’ve had about 3 hours tonight.

im just bored.

HaggisWurst · 05/01/2023 20:14

@FebMama oh gosh, it's suddenly so much harder when they drop. Even walking to the toilet becomes difficult! How old is your DS? The guilt is real and I wasnt expecting it to start before baby came!
The last few days I'm pretty sure baby has been engaged as I found it difficult even standing up but today I managed to get around again and felt him high in my ribs so think he's engaging and disengaging still.
No induction as of yet. My Bp is being a bit weird. This morning high, this evening lower again. I check it at home 3 times a day and it's a bit all over the place but I have a check up on Monday!

@GarlicCrackers that's interesting to hear as I am also not as big this time round but I thought 2nd pregnancies meant bigger. I'm sorry you're struggling with sleep, it's hard when the sleep deprivation kicks in before baby is even here. I slept fine with my first all the way until he was born but this time, I'm also already getting broken sleep, waking with dead legs and dead arms / numb hands.

So ready to have this baby! He’s massive, he’s constantly hurting me with kicking and stretching out. My ribs kill and my back aches, constant period type pains and braxton hicks. I need to pee constantly but can’t actually empty my bladder. Can’t sleep. Can hardly walk. Breathless. Can’t eat a full meal. I’m measuring 4 weeks ahead and I’m full of water. Can’t bend. The heartburn is the best part 🤣.

I’m also getting bum kicks (only 27 weeks though), apparently it means baby is breech?

Rosesandteacups · 05/01/2023 21:46

33 weeks here so not as far as you but so ready for this baby to be out! He seems to have dropped in the last 2 days as I now have crotch/pelvic pain to add to the list. I am recovering from Covid with a horrible cough that won’t go and has destroyed my stomach muscles. I also have gestational diabetes and am so fed up with not being able to eat what I want. I’m off with dd tomorrow and don’t know what I can do to keep her entertained!

FebMama · 06/01/2023 11:28

@HaggisWurst my DS is almost 3! How old is your DC? I've noticed my sons behaviour really change in the last week or so...I'm sure they say toddlers know when change is imminent so I'm guessing he is beginning to sense it! He's just so much more clingier but also tantrumming a lot more over things he wouldn't usually tantrum over.

Hope your BP remains settled! I'm still waiting for an ELCS date, have a hosp appointment on the 17th so should find out then. Hoping baby hangs on! BH pains have slowed down a bit in recent days thankfully.

hmmm well I’m not getting as many bum kicks now and this weeks scan she was head down correctly. I think she’s just a menace like her father.

I’m a bit of a character, and I’ve had the house in hysterics when they hear me scream ITS A FAKE WEE. I get so cross when I’m desperate for a wee, and it’s a dribble. Or when it’s a real wee I’ll generally confirm that loudly as well. I’m not entirely sure why I started doing that but I think after the 5th hourly wee that was gaslighting me I started to shout about it

im 37 weeks on sunday and im so over it now. Not sleeping cause of severe pelvic pain, heartburn back, my lower back aches, period cramping , more discharge and sooooooo much pressure and lighting crotch. Something best be happening down there cause its all the right signs but same as you, this has been going on for the last week and im giving up hope for an early delivery.

Im so over it. Im certain i will have more sleep having a baby here than i do now. This is my second so im ready and prepared .

Glad to hear she’s flipped!

I know what you mean about the wee. And even when I’ve just weed I have that heavy pressure sensation of needing to go again even though nothing comes out. Horrible!

Almost 35 weeks here... The list of agonies are growing day by day.. baby is head down and dropped into pelvis as early as 28 weeks😅 though that's a good news for breathing and heartburn, it's an absolute bad one for my bladder and back! Peeing almost every hour and getting bad period like pains.. also diagnosed with pelvic girdle pain which makes it impossible to walk😭

I have been told that the baby will stay in till 39 weeks... Just CAN'T imagine how I will cope for another 4 weeks! I am already huge as a house.. don't know how large I will be in 4 weeks🙈

FebMama · 12/01/2023 18:19

Currently 36 weeks today and feeling realllllly sorry for myself right now lol. My back is in bits and no matter how I sit/lay/stand, I'm just so uncomfortable. 😩😩😩 baby will be here in week 39 but really really don't know how I'm going to get through another possible 3 weeks of this!
