bugaboo carry cot question

if you use the carry cot for the baby to sleep in over night (or in the house during the day) is there a stand you can get to put it on rather then having to have the frame in the house?

I use to get dp to take the frame upstairs every night and leave it on that

MrsBadger · 04/02/2008 13:51

I thought it was ok for overnight because of the ventilated mattress - the manufacturers claim it is.

you have made me doubt myself re its standalone ability though...

if only downstairs leave it on the chassis

i used my chameleon for dd to sleep in during the day and when we went away, during the night.

it didn't occur to me that we shouldn't

we have friends and family who have used the carry cot alone every night from birth on its own and we are planning to. they do say its fine if you check with bugaboo but it is obviously something that is totally up to you. if u are unsure then i'd say buy a cheapy moses?

the adapters do have to stay on and it seems a bit unstable but it doesn't rock when baby's in it from when i've seen it in use.

we were told by lady in shop where i got it that it couldn't be used alone cos of adapters and when i said that my nephew had been in it for 4 months every night she just said 'oh maybe u can then...'

so long and short of my rambling post is it should be fine but if u are unsure then use an alternative. if my one is anything like ds it will only ever settle when being cuddled anyway rendering any carry cot/moses basket useless!!!
