Hi all,

I am genuinely not sure who to reach out to, but decided to post on here.
I am 24, and recently had found out we were expecting our first baby, we were so happy and excited up until the 12wk scan when we were told the NT was 4.6mm and we were referred to fetal medicine, no one telling us anything and us being absolutely filled with worry. Bloods came back with 1 in 5 chance for Down's, we decided to go through with CVS. Received a call last Wednesday that confirmed T21. Absolutely heartbroken. We sat down and had a conversation what we want to do, and decided to end the pregnancy. We terminated at 15wks. I am absolutely traumatised by this all, we really do want to try for a baby, but I am so scared to go through this again. Not really sure what the point of the question is really.. What is the likelihood of this happening again? How long should we wait before we try again? I have been left so broken.

I would seek out support groups and counselling, you need to give your body time to recover.
We have had a tense time waiting for tests as my DP eldest has DS (undiagnosed till birth) and due to his complex needs we knew we could not cope.
