DH and I have very recently discovered we’re expecting our first. DH is scared, nervous but excited and I’m trying to be but right now I don’t feel anything. We’ve been trying for a while, and both want this, but is it normal to feel nothing at this early stage?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Absolutely. I'm expecting my second child, my first was ten years ago. I pined for this pregnancy, it was very much wanted and tried for and came after a suspected ectopic the year before.

However, I never felt as excited about it as I'd expected to, and was more sort of 'okay, this is happening then' about it.

Yes I felt this. I think I was afraid to be happy and excited in case something happened.
