Am I having a miscarriage?

Just hoping to get some advise/previous experience

This is my first pregnancy, am currently 7+3. Over the last 3 days I've had sever pain in my back and stomach cramps, almost like period pains. Light bleeding started this morning however I'm not able to get a scan until tomorrow

Has anyone experienced similar ?

Also want to add I have no pregnancy symptoms. Previously had sore boobs but this stopped about 2 weeks ago. Had a general lack of appetite however not sure if this is a symptom?

Hey @mumtobe0823 I’m 6+2 and I had really bad period like pains on Fri/sat with brown discharge when I wiped on the loo. The cramping stopped yesterday and today hardly any discharge so from what a lot of other ladies have said it’s totally normal unless it’s red then get it checked. Good luck with your scan 🥰

Oh my goodness @mumtobe0823 this is so strange, I'm exactly the same as you (7w+3 today) and I had a scan today following cramps, bleeding with clots, backache, the full this-feels-like-a-miscarriage works. Every couple of days from about 5 weeks onwards I've had several hours of this, to the point where I thought there couldn't possibly be anything left in there. But . . . Everything is fine! The baby is measuring perfectly and the heart is beating away.

I've done so much research on this and bleeding in early pregnancy is so much more common than I realised. Its not automatically game over. Especially if your bleeding is light!

It's really hard because the only way of telling whether the baby is okay will be the scan. You could be miscarrying - unfortunately that's a possibility - but there's every chance it's a random bleed and the baby will be fine. Good luck and please let us know how it goes!
