20 week scan

Hi guys,

Just wondering for those who have had a 20 week scan and didn’t find out the gender.. how was this for you? Do you have to look away? Etc.

I didn’t want to know the sex of the baby so told the sonographer before starting. Sonographer told me when to look away.

The sonographer will probably ask if you'd like to find out beforehand.
If the answer is no then they will tell you when you need to look away.

The sonographer asked if we wanted to know then told us to look away at certain points

I already found out the gender at 16 weeks, found both the 12 and 16 weeks scans quite clear and you could fully see a baby. The 20 week one was so zoomed in I really didn’t have a clue what we were looking at, there’s no way I’d have known if it was a boy or girl from that 🙈 Just tell them first and if they need you to look away they’ll tell you
