Cervical scan / stitch

Hi, I have a cervical scan today and just wondering exactly what to expect (I cope better knowing exactly whats going to happen)
Obviously know its internal, and from what I can gather, they're looking to see if it's still a good shape or if it's dipping?
I had lletz treatment last year so they're keeping an eye on it.
I was pretty OK with it as a standard thing, but now I know I'm expecting twins, I'm a little more worried about needing it stitching.
So any stories or advice would be great x

Sorry to see no replies here: I have a scan in a couple weeks at 16 weeks and was wondering how your experience was in the end?

I was also wondering if you get to see baby at these appointments?

Hey I’ve had two of these scans during my pregnancy. Didn’t get a chance to see baby properly sadly could only see his bum close to my cervix haha! It’s an internal scan so they use a sort of probe and insert it, it’s not painful at all then use imaging on a screen to measure your cervix. @Becky2948

That’s disappointing 🤣 I was hoping for a silver lining of having to have these extra scans done!

I had a lot of cervical length scans and saw baby every time, they would do a quick abdominal scan before the internal.

@Becky2948 I had two internal scans to measure my cervix, one at 16 weeks and the other straight after my 20 week scan. At the 16 week appointment they showed me baby at the end for a few minutes which was lovely as was a super clear image! At my 20 week scan it was more just the measuring and checking for funnelling but that was fine as had just seen her wiggling about for half an hour 😊. Hope all goes well!
