False positive ?

I took a test yesterday and got a really thin dark blue like ? Is this positive or negative ? I took a didital clear blue the next morning said not pregnant ? But I’ve heard they are less sensitive? I’ve heard evap lines are colourless

Did the line show up within the timeframe? If it did it's positive

It showed up within 10 min I’d say ? I thought could see some sort of faint hardly noticeable before that but checked again that came up!
why is the line so thin ? Also are evap lines do they have colour ?
I don’t understand why the digital test said not pregnant ?

It does look positve to me. I have had past experience with those tests where there's been an evap line and it's got my hopes up. But that time the line was no where near as clear as yours is.

Are you testing before missed period? If so I would try a Clearblue Digital how many weeks because I think they are more sensitive or a First Response early test should also give you a clear line.

If it showed up after 10 minutes it could be a false positive. I would retest and check within the time frame to be sure x

I’m not due my period till around the 4th or 5th ?
last period started 7th dec I did do a clear blue digital this morning it said not pregnant ? But the pharmacy said there less sensitive ?

Hi thanks I’m not late yet it’s due around the 4th or 5th ? I’ve never had a blue false positive before ? The digital saying I’m not but pharmacist said there not as sensitive plus my last period was on the 7th dec so I wouldn’t be that far along would I

Is this an early detect clear blue or standard? If it’s a standard one I think the line would be fainter as you’re not due on yet. How many dpo are you?

it could go either way though. These blue dye tests do have colour in the evaps and a skinny line like this but some positives start like this on them too. Pink dye tests like a frer would be better before you’re due on as their evaps are white/grey so easier to tell. A standard digital test wouldn’t show positive before your period is due only an early detect one might.

As it was 10 minutes I wouldn’t rely on it either way and would do a frer or wait to see if period comes.

That's a really clear positive. The line isn't always thick for a positive, and that one is definitely blue. Being so early means you will still want to be cautious as so many early pregnancies don't stick. I agree that you should test again in a few days and see if the line gets darker.

i’m so confused. took this test yesterday, came back a bit later and saw this (photo below). don’t know what to think, is it an evap line? it’s very thin but i’ve heard evaps are colourless and don’t have the dye in them, whereas my line is clearly blue. let me know your experiences with evap lines/clearblue tests!!

@cccandy101 That looks positive. Evan lines are much harder to see.

This was my positive test, period one day late, line is def thicker so I would test again if it was so thin , to be sure
