Can I get Maternity pay

I’m about to finish my maternity & go back to work on the 3rd, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant again & id be due to go back off on maternity around June/July.

would I be entitled to maternity pay from work where they’d top it up or would I have to claim maternity allowance?

I will speak to my manager about it when I’m a bit further along, just wondered if anyone on here had any info. Thank you! X

It will depend on your average weekly earnings when calculating from the reference period, if you had a period of unpaid or lower may pay then possibly no you may not be entitled.

You will be able to claim Maternity pay as you were still counted as employed while on leave. If you were claiming SMP then wages in weeks 17-25 of pregnancy determines of you get the full amount or not. You'd have to look at your T&Cs to see whether there are other requirements for occupational maternity pay

How far along are you? If you are less than 3 months, based early July due date you imply in your post, you will be back at work for the 6 week period which will be use to calculate your maternity pay .. so it should be OK.

I'm 6 weeks & 2 days, I'd be going off on maternity in July due to the nature of my job it would be too risky for me to go any longer :)
