Worried - hardly any symptoms at 5 weeks

I lost one of my twins last pregnancy and remember feeling so so so tired, like I'd been hit by a bus. I'm 5 weeks with my second pregnancy and just don't feel anything. Boobs slightly sore and dry mouth but that's it.
I'm convinced I'm going to miscarry and it's hugely getting me down.
Any experiences with this?

I didn't get any symptoms at all until almost 7 weeks with my first pregnancy and just before 6 weeks with my current pregnancy. It's still early days and each pregnancy is different. It might hit you like a truck in a week's time, you might skate through the entire first trimester without a single symptom. Try not to worry unless there's something to worry about 😊

surreyisik · 01/01/2023 20:51

I'm so sorry for your loss 💔 💐 I had no symptoms either until about 7 weeks apart from sore boobs. Similar situation with a close friend too.

shannonl26 · 01/01/2023 20:54

I’m currently 6 weeks & 1 day pregnant, I haven’t had any symptoms yet apart from a positive test. I didn’t have any with my first pregnancy either x

Bells3032 · 01/01/2023 20:56

Every pregnancy is different. I didn't know I was pregnant with twins til I was nearly 7 weeks and had no symptoms.

Thanks everyone. It's just such torture. Have OCD too and am on holiday from work so going mad googling things! Thanks for your reassurance.

Currently 15 weeks pregnant and didn't have any symptoms until 8 weeks! By 10 my sickness was so bad I'd lost 11lb and docs were referring me for IV fluids. Don't panic (ridiculous to say, because you will panic) and try and take one day at a time. I used to say to my self each day, today I am pregnant and have no reason to believe I'm not - I still do this now. After a miscarriage in July I don't think the anxiety will ever stop! Sending big hugs ❤️

rattlinbog · 01/01/2023 21:26

Thanks so much. Had no sickness last time either so hoping that's just normal for me.

Had no symptoms til around 9 weeks with all 3 of my kids!

Kladebs · 02/01/2023 07:41

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and the only symptoms I've had so far are sore boobs and swollen gums.
Out of the other 4, I only got symptoms with one pregnancy which started at 10 weeks.

rattlinbog · 02/01/2023 15:39

@Pyvadanya @Kladebs thank you!

The EPU have given me an appointment in 10 days so hopefully that will be reassuring

@rattlinbog I stumbled upon your post when I was frantically searching for anything to reassure me regarding no symptoms. I'm 6+1 today and having a very anxious morning as I have no symptoms whatsoever! I had a MC back in October around the 6 week mark so really really worried. How did you get on OP? Hope everything's well with your little bean X

rattlinbog · 15/01/2023 11:53

Hi! I had an appointment last Monday in the end as had a bit of brown spotting. Pregnancy was in the right place with yolk sac but no fetus yet. Going back in 10 days so will let you know! I'm having a lot more symptoms now do crossing fingers. I hope you're ok too.

Tinkerbell098 · 15/01/2023 11:58

@rattlinbog thanks for the response. Great the scan showed it's in the right place and there is a yolk sac. it's probably still too early to see the fetus? When did the symptoms kick start?

MrsSkylerWhite · 15/01/2023 12:00

That’s very early. I had no idea at all until at least 8 weeks with second.

rattlinbog · 15/01/2023 12:01

Yes think it was a bit borderline to see the fetus so not overly concerned. I'd say over the last few days really the symptoms have increased a bit, I'm nearly 7 weeks now.

I had so few symptoms that I had this strange fear that the obstetrician would announce it was all a mistake and that there was no baby there. Of course there was a baby there and he's all grown up now.

Tinkerbell098 · 15/01/2023 12:13

@rattlinbog thanks! all the best for the next scan X

@MrsSkylerWhite @Summerlark thanks! It's just that you see all these posts regarding very early symptoms and you can't help but worry something's wrong. I've got a scan in 9 days, so really hoping everything's fine.

LittleDoveLove · 16/01/2023 08:28

Hello I am 6+1 today and I am the same with very little symptoms. I have more sore nipples and occasional mild feeling I may get a headache and slight more groggy but it is making me worried. When I had my first child I was unwell from almost the positive test. I have a reassurance scan with nhs booked in on Monday and I feel very anxious as I had a MMC in June and a chemical one the previous year.

Tinkerbell098 · 16/01/2023 09:18

@LittleDoveLove So sorry to hear about your losses. It's so hard isn't it? Hope all goes well with your scan on Monday. Let us know how you get on.

LittleDoveLove · 16/01/2023 18:59

@Tinkerbell098 it really is. I was about to start IVF so I'm praying this little one sticks. 🙏 x

SeekingAnswerz · 16/01/2023 20:12

Hopefully your one of the lucky ones who doesn’t have the miserable symptoms but has a healthy pregnancy. I understand how it can be a source of worry due to what you’ve been through, a lot of women get comfort from their symptoms but there are so many women who don’t have the sickness etc but everything is fine, we are all so different it’s crazy x

firsttimelondonmummy · 16/01/2023 20:31

Hey,
I’ve had hardly any symptoms my whole pregnancy!
No sickness, very little breast soreness/ soreness in general, no real aversions etc.
I’m currently 17+4 and little man is looking great so far.
I was really worried too so know how your feeling.
