I am 20 years old. 12 days delayed period. Having a white clumpy vaginal discharge but negative in pregnancy test? Can you help me out?

You’d expect a test to pick up pregnancy if you’re that late. Are you usually regular?

Yes. I have a regular cycle and this is my first to experience this. I tried to take a 5 different pregnamcy tests and the result was all negative.

When we decided we wanted to try for a second, I had a time where I missed a period which turned into 3 months of not having one.
Did numerous tests but they were all negative which was so upsetting.
Had a scan to see if there was anything wrong but just seemed to be one of those things really.
Definitely check in with your doctor if you’re usually regular and nothing.

Hi Halloumi22, I was lost when you told me you had a scan and seemed to one of those things? Can you elaborate it more? Because I'm really scared and freaking out.

You'd almost definitely have a positive test at two weeks late. Sometimes this just happens. I'm in my 30s and had a very late period 3 times. If in doubt, speak to your GP.

But the pregnancy test is still negative.

Yes - sorry. I will try and make it clearer! Please try not to worry, sometimes our bodies just do strange things that we can’t explain but do please speak to your Dr if you’re worried.

I was getting the negative tests but no period for 3 months so I contacted the Dr who booked me for a scan of my womb/ovaries etc to check if there was anything wrong. The scan didn’t pick up anything so it was just a really frustrating thing my body did with no reason for it.
Periods eventually came back!

Sometimes periods can be really late or even skipped entirely and the next one just turns up on time.
