Anyone had loss of symptoms and it’s been okay?

I’m 8 weeks pregnant. Had a miscarriage last year. Have been relishing feeling hideous over the last week or so as a good sign that things were okay… felt really exhausted and sick until about two days ago. Similarly my boobs aren’t sore today after being quite sore for the last three weeks. I had a slight loss of symptoms with my last miscarriage but hadn’t had strong symptoms in that pregnancy anyway. i can’t remember a loss of symptoms in my previous successful pregnancy or an earlier miscarriage. I have a scan booked for Thursday and am bracing myself now 😢
Has anyone had symptoms fade and it turned out okay? I do have a vile headache today but feel maybe that’s from a late night!

I never really get many symptoms whether it's a successful pregnancy or not. If anything I probably had less symptoms with my two daughters. I get nausea and breasts hurt around 4-5 weeks but my symptoms tend to fade as my body gets used to the hormones regardless of whether it's going to be a loss or not. With last MMC my body really thought it was still pregnant and the hcg was still above 8000 by the time I thought I was 9-10 weeks, even though it had stopped developing just before 7 weeks. Previous losses have been at 5-6 weeks and I knew the hcg wasn't doubling. I wouldn't personally say pregnancy symptoms are a reliable indicator, not for me anyway.

It’s really normal for symptoms to get better at this stage, I know it’s worrying when the image of pregnancy is loads of sickness and stuff but it’s not the case for all. With DS I felt basically fine by about 8 weeks too. Try not to worry too much

Yes,mine tapered off in both pregnancies at around 8 weeks. They would come and go from then till about 13 weeks. I think I even made a thread in my first pregnancy asking this. All was fine, have a healthy toddler and am 20 weeks pregnant now.

it’s a very stressful time! Try not to worry (easier said then done!).

I'm sure I remember googling loss of symptoms loads during early pregnancy. I'm now sat holding my sleeping 5 month old as I type.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and don't really feel pregnant after the initial sickness and tiredness at 5 weeks. I had a scan on Thursday as I was stressed and so far healthy pregnancy.

I had a missed miscarriage in spring and felt so pregnant with nausea, sickness and heavy breasts until I had to have it surgically managed (discovered at scan at 13 weeks but had died at 6.5 weeks). I have a daughter and felt sick all throughout that pregnancy. I don't think it means too much if you have symptoms or not although I keep having to remind myself of this when I get nervous.
Good luck with it all, I know it's so hard especially after a miscarriage. I've never been so nervous and done as many pregnancy tests in my life as I have this time.

@SRK16 it may be unlikely you see this, but I wonder was everything okay for you in the end? I’m in the same situation and thread hunting

SRK16 · 14/02/2023 19:31

Thanks so much @SRK16 . I had a scan last week and all is perfect. Hopefully if anyone finds this thread in the future they will see loss of symptoms can be okay sometimes!
