How many days late did you test Positive?

Hi All -
Just popping on for some stories / reassurance.
I'm currently 4 days late, sex 2 days before fertility window and then 2 days after fertility window and getting negative tests (I haven't done them on my urines of the day). Getting waves of sickness, frequent headaches that are becoming more frequent as the days go by, boobs felt sore this morning and yesterday. I've done clearable and first response, all negative apart from one which i left out on the side as I was going out, returned to find a line but think it was an eval line as it was out of the 3-10 minute window frame. I've got a digital one but I was keeping that incase i got a faint positive (to do a double check). Not quite sure what to do really as I'm never this late. Wasn't planned pregnancy and I'm not bothered either way, I just would like clarity I suppose (BFP or Period). Has anyone experienced this or something similar? Im trying not to test for a couple of days to be sensible, as keep testing isn't going to help matters is it so.

If you had ovulated when you thought you did, you’d either have a positive test or your period by now. When people get positives days after they were due on, it means they ovulated late and would never have come on their period when they ‘expected’. How do you track ovulation? It’s really common to ovulate late, even if you normally have really regular cycles. Unfortunately without knowing exactly when or if you ovulated it’s impossible to say when you’d show a positive test. However, the vast majority of successful pregnancies implant 7-10 days after ovulation and then you’d get a faint positive test a couple of days after that.

AliceinSlumberland - I track everything on my apple watch so i log my periods and it shows my fertility 5 day window. I can't say for sure when I ovulated possibly the 11th or 12th. Its just to strange, I never miss a period even when I am super stressed. My life is pretty much constant stress (having an autistic child and fighting for a lot of things etc does that to you) so stress won't effect my cycle. I'm also never this late. The most i've ever been late is a day or two. nothing more. No signs of period coming either, i get distinctive pains 2 days before I'm due on. At this point i'm questioning whether to go to the doctors or whether they'd just say you need to wait longer even though I know its not normal for me.

I tested negative the day after my period was due and positive 3 days later. I have a 25day cycle and very regular so try again 1 week after your period was due. Good luck 🥰

@CMG92 its so bizzare isnt it! i did think by now i'd be showing faint positives if i was, as I'm day 4 late and my actual period cycles last day is tomorrow then its completely past my period week. tomorrow till be day 5. I may test again tomorrow morning on my first urine. but this was helpful thankyou. I've got 2 children so you'd think my body would be intune with it by now lol.

I ovulated 5 days later than my normal cycle in August, and it’s the cycle I conceived. I’ve never been that late before, I would have even said my fertile window was the same based on my cm, luckily I was tracking with opk and bbt otherwise I would have spent 5 days wondering where AF was. Wait a few more days and test again?

@Blue2020 this is also something i considered how accurate your body is is another thing in itself isn’t it. I’ve tested just and THINK i’ve got the faintest line with a First Response. (Gonna post and ask for opinions on another thread in a second just to make sure i am not going insane). Xx

I'm 12 days late and got a bfp!! Yesterday it came up negative.
