Recurrent thrush in pregnancy?

I’m 32 weeks pregnant and currently got thrush for what I think is the fourth or fifth time during my pregnancy, the last time was only two weeks ago! I really don’t know why I keep getting it. I don’t use scented products in that area, I haven’t been wearing tight clothing etc… if anything the first sign that I’m getting it is that all my underwear seems to irritate the area and then a couple of days later I will get the discharge etc.

I’ve replaced all my underwear with pure cotton ones since the first time I got thrush, I pat dry after a shower, avoid perfumed products etc. The last time I had thrush my midwife prescribed the canesten pessary and cream which I used until it cleared up, but I don’t want to be having to take it every couple of weeks!

Does anyone know what could be causing it/how to avoid?

Bells I had thrush from very early on with both my previous pregnancies. I was given stash of pessaries and had to repeatedly apply them every 3 weeks, it would simply keep coming back. In some women it has to to with hormones in pregnancy and there is nothing at your fault. As soon as I have birth thrush went away. I know your pain, I had it very bad literally green clumps coming out of me, just stock to pessaries it's the only thing that helps.

For me it was bread strangely enough, I think the super yeast in processed bread was too much for my system to break down and turboed everything else. Cut out bread fro. Your diet for 48hrs, you will notice the difference on day 2 if you have the same. Makes.your discharge thick and cakey smelling?
