I sent off my form for free prescriptions about a month ago and haven’t received any sort of letter in the post.

Anyone know how long this usually takes to come through? Thinking mail strikes have something to do with it but it’s frustrating.

I’ve received so much paperwork from doctors and hospitals regarding pregnancy, you would think they would just issue each pregnant patient a certificate for free prescription on first appointment..

Midwives can usually apply online for this, give your team a call

DH's cancer exemption form took about three weeks. You can claim back any scripts you paid for once you get your card, if you keep the receipts.

The midwife gave me mine at the booking in appointment at 10weeks. Sent it by email.

I just stopped paying for prescriptions when I knew the paperwork had been submitted.
