Hello ladies,

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling soo tired even though I'm resting most of the time. At the same I'm feeling depressed and sad coz I don't want anything to go wrong as I suffered from one miscarriage. The days are going by so slowly for me. I cannot wait to have my first scan. I don't even talk to anyone much, no friends.
I might go for a private scan when I'm around 7 or 8 weeks. Will anything be visible on abdominal scan?
If anyone can tell me about it I will really appreciate x

At 7/8 weeks they are more likely to do an internal scan even privately - I had a scan on the nhs at this gestation and this was my scan photo so you can see something.

Sorry about your previous loss hopefully this is a sticky baby and hangs on until the end, I had a miscarriage before having my children so finger crossed for you lovely, congratulations Flowers

In my experience (both private and NHS) it will be an internal scan. Both attempted an abdominal but couldn’t see anything so did an internal.

Congratulations, hope all goes well. The tiredness is horrible but will pass !

Bless you, it's hard isn't it - when I was pregnant with my first I checked datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer everyday to help reassure me in those early days.

For my second pregnancy it was unstable anyway (hence the early scan) I was bleeding, had to have medication and all sorts so I actually expected not to carry the baby to term however that was kinda true as she was born at 36+4 days and she's very healthy and happy.

I would try and settle your mind, no amount of worrying will prevent anything as sad as it is to say - try and remain positive, book a private scan if it helps.

Hope you feel at ease soon and the tiredness does seem to subside in the 2nd trimester x
