Hey anyone else roughly 6 weeks pregnant?

I haven't told anyone yet apart from my husband and looking for some girly support 💜

Thought we could check in on each other and track symptoms xx

I think the due Aug/Sept 2023 is the perfect place for you to hang out!

Im 8 weeks, so a little further ahead and in the Due Aug 2023 thread, and there are some ladies there around 6 weeks too I think.

Gizzyanne · 29/12/2022 14:32

Hi @RubyF30 I am just over 7 weeks with my first and also looking for the same :)

RubyF30 · 29/12/2022 15:30

@Gizzyanne let's be pals! 😂🫶🏻

How you keeping?

I had a miscarriage before so I'm still very wary about everything. I've taken 5 tests all being positive and for only being 6 weeks I'm really swollen down below!!!

Very excited! It's our first! Just fingers crossed everything is okay xxx

Hi @RubyF30 I'm 6 weeks today! It's my first pregnancy, but still feeling very anxious after a CP last cycle. We found out at 3+5 it's felt like a longgg wait to get to this point so far.

EmmzRB · 29/12/2022 19:20

Hello ladies!

Yes please, I'm 6 weeks + 1 today and it's my first pregnancy. The fatigue has been real, and my boobs were very swollen but that's calmed down quite a bit today.

Got my booking appt next week, how are you getting on?

Gizzyanne · 29/12/2022 20:11

Sore boobs over here too, bloating and gas haha! Enjoying having some time off work over Christmas to rest as also very tired all the time!
first midwife appointment on 10th Jan then bloods then hopefully scan so hoping the next few weeks go quickly as the last 6 have dragged!
how’s everyone else getting on? I’m glad I’ve joined this page as it’s making my anxiety feel so normal!!

EmmzRB · 29/12/2022 20:49

Haha! I'm glad you said gas, omg I've burped so much. No nausea and I had a panic today because I felt pretty good! But them I read how much things will fluctuate ... its going to be a very long 6 weeks. Are you taking any supplements??

Gizzyanne · 29/12/2022 21:13

Haha I know the symptoms seem to reassure me that everything is hopefully still going ok!
I started taking precnacare from about 3 weeks are you taking anything?
not going to lie my diets been pretty awful over Christmas hoping to get back on track and get some proper meals down me asap!

EmmzRB · 30/12/2022 11:13

I know, I've woken up feeling pretty good today. I never thought I'd be worried about feeling good haha. Yeahh I'm taking folic acid and vitamin D individually but gonna speak to the midwife about whether there is anything more I should be doing. The amount of info out there is nuts.

RubyF30 · 30/12/2022 12:20

Congratulations everyone! So exciting. I have my appointment with my midwife today!

I have been having lots of gas! Going to the loo a lot and not for a pee sorry tmi! And been getting light period cramping. Spoke to midwife this morning and she said all perfectly normal symptoms! And not to worry!

Does anyone have anxiety at all? I do but trying to remain calm ❤️

OP posts:
Gizzyanne · 30/12/2022 13:21

@RubyF30 oh that’s so reassuring to know I was panicking about this I have all the same symptoms too!!
yes I have anxiety suffered for a long time, started sertraline a few months ago I’m on a low dose so have continued with them for now as I don’t want to spiral! I’m glad everything went ok in the midwife for you! Did they give you any other useful information?
@EmmzRB it’s a complete minefield isn’t it you just end up down rabbit holes every time you go looking!
has anyone been told they need the flu jab or a covid booster?

RubyF30 · 30/12/2022 13:46

@Gizzyanne no your fine and we are probably over thinking everything too.

Well my appointment was a waste of time it got cancelled loll so need to reschedule!

OP posts:
Gizzyanne · 30/12/2022 13:58

@RubyF30 oh how disappointing! Glad you got to atleast speak with her though but frustrating you didn’t get to see them! Hopefully you won’t have to wait long for the rescheduled appointment

EmmzRB · 30/12/2022 14:17

Ahhhh that is super annoying, have they given you an idea of when you can have a new appt?

Mine is on Tuesday so just trying to think of any questions that I might have. I'm gonna try not to Google stuff any more because it's just terrifying and ultimately won't change the outcome will it.

Are you both using an app to track roughly how far along you are? I ask because my app says I'm 6 weeks and 2 days but I did a clear blue conception test out of curiosity and it came up with 2-3 weeks meaning I'm more like 5.

Hope you're both feeling okay today!

RubyF30 · 30/12/2022 15:06

@EmmzRB clear blue isn't accurate. Although a positive is a positive. Your midwife will count your pregnancy from the first day of your last period.

I'm only telling you this so confidently because I had this conversation with the midwife today lolll

My clear blue was saying 1-2 weeks but my period first day was 17th November. So I'm 6 weeks and 2 days.

App I use - FLO
Gives me daily updates. I like it. But also not trying to read too much xxxxx

OP posts:
EmmzRB · 30/12/2022 15:55

Well we definitely trust a midwife over a stick 😅🤣 my period was 18th November so really similar.

And yeah I'm on flo too, this its really useful. Thank you really appreciate it!

CMG92 · 02/01/2023 07:55

Hi everyone I’m 6+1 so hoping I’m ok to join! I haven’t really had many symptoms so far but fri/sat I had quite bad period like pains and some brown discharge when I wiped. That has settled down now, keep thinking the nausea is going to hit me when I’m not expecting it 😂

Moni81 · 02/01/2023 08:21

Hi Ruby, I'm 5 weeks 2days, only just found out couple of days ago. It's surprise pregnancy, I'm 42😬🙈 with 10 and 13 year old daughters, so it has been a while, feels a bit scary lol

Ivyonafence · 02/01/2023 08:28

Congratulations OP

EmmzRB · 02/01/2023 18:35

Welcome ladies ☺️ more the merrier!

The symptoms are real today, my boobs are pranging and I just have so many foods I'm not feeling at all.

Hope 2023 is treating you well so far!

Its my booking appt tomorrow, first step towards it feeling really real!

allgoodthings84 · 02/01/2023 19:54

Hi all. I’m 6 weeks 4 days by last period but I know when I ovulated so know I’m really 6 weeks 2 days.

At first they date you by the date of the first day of your last period as they don’t know when anyone actually ovulated or implanted etc but at your 12/13 week scan they will give you a proper date as all healthy babies grow at the same rate for the first trimester so it’s as accurate as they can possibly be.

With my daughter at my scan I was re dated and I was 5 days less than my last period date as I must have ovulated later. When they do it by last period it will only be completely correct if you have a 28 day cycle and ovulated day 14 which most people don’t but it’s the best they can estimate until the scan

Morag202287 · 03/01/2023 08:17

Hi all jumping in here.
I am 6 weeks 2 days today first child. 3 prev mc's, and 1 ectopic.. ectopic was September had my right tube removed. So it seems to have happened pretty quick this time. Only symptoms recently are sore boobs, cramps on and off, brown dc on wiping on and off for around a week and just tired definitely not like exhaustion though. I would say ice had quite a bit of heart burn and sicky feeling after greasy foods. So avoiding now. Have early scan with epu this Thursday fingers crossed to seeing something. I was scanned at 5weeks but only saw thickened lining so hoping something good happens on this scan. Congratulations to everyone, I know these early stages are very nerve racking. Xx

EmmzRB · 04/01/2023 15:52

Any one now back to work after the new year and really struggling with fatigue???

Gizzyanne · 05/01/2023 05:39

@EmmzRB oh yes… and nausea to go with! Trying to sit at my desk 8-4 and pretend I don’t feel awful is hard work 😂! Hope you’re ok! Xx

EmmzRB · 05/01/2023 10:22

Haha oh bless you! The nausea hasn't quite kicked in yet for me but if you're managing to get through that you deserve a medal 😅.

Went for a wee this morning and had the most faint pink tint to my discharge. Googled a bit and it largely seems normal for 7 weeks so doing my best not to think about it any more than that. Boobs are still very tender and there are so many foods I can't face.

Hope everyone else is doing okay!
