Just looking for stories I suppose. First pregnancy went as well as it could’ve given a few medical bits and bobs I have going on. This one has been a shower of shit for various reasons - luckily nothing concretely concerning so far, but needed an amnio (all fine), baby is rhesus positive this time, had HG until 20 weeks, now placenta previa which I’m hoping will move… just feeling a bit down about it all, I worked so hard in my last pregnancy I didn’t really enjoy it and was determined to enjoy this one ☹️ but it’s been worry after worry.

Yep. First pregnancy was plain sailing, bar a bit of nausea at the start.

Second pregnancy ended in miscarriage.

Third pregnancy was tough. Hyperemesis until about 26 weeks, then obstetric cholestasis diagnosed at 32 weeks. I was honestly pretty much bedbound with illness for most of the pregnancy. Had my baby (thankfully healthy) at 37 weeks via emergency c-section when my liver started to go seriously haywire. It was a blessed relief not to be pregnant anymore and put me off ever doing it again!

Had a breeze of a pregnancy with DD1, lobed every min of being preg with her and then fell pregnant with twins and it was a fucking shit show from the beginning.

Spewing so bad was in and out hospital for dehydration, was still spewing my hoop at 26weeks, then had 2 severe UTIs and had to have another stay in hospital, pelvis went coz I was size of a fucking whale, also due to being whale sized I was treated for gaestional diabetes as was borderline on the blood tests (not that I actually fucking Followed the diet 🤣) then at 32 weeks, was involved in a car accident and fucked my pelvis even more. Couldnt walk for shit. Every part of my body hurt. Was rhesus neg too so injections for that. then had to get steriod injections for them before planned section. Not to mention I was chugging gaviscon like tequila for the heartburn 🤣🤣🤣 Honestly have never hated my life more

But then they arrived safe and sound I didn't care.

Still never getting pregnant again thou hahahahahaha

Not just me then! Feel very naive that I expected the second to go more smoothly. Great to hear you were all okay in the end though. It’s just getting there isn’t it!

Same here! Absolutely loved my pregnancy with my first. Minimal nausea until 13 weeks, was mega active the whole time and even did a full vinyasa yoga class the week she was born 😂
Second pregnancy ended as a MMC.
Third and current pregnancy started off with a subchorionic hematoma that led to 5 episodes of heavy bleeding, then diagnosed with low PAPP-A at the 12-week scan. Also lots of pelvic pain the whole time, adding to the constant anxiety. 16 weeks in and I'm over it. Can it be June already please?

Cuppasoupmonster · 28/12/2022 18:24

Oh Ralia not you as well! It’s really annoying, I feel as second timers we are owed a better experience than this 😂 (ok that’s entitled but you know what I mean).

Yes. I hated my first pregnancy but it was like a breeze compared to my second pregnancy. I had a kidney infection which made me really poorly and then a UTI which didn't shift for 8 weeks. The good news was the labour was like a dream second time round, it's like my body thought 'ah she deserves a break let's make this as easy as possible!'.
