Anybody able to immediately tell they're pregnant?

Freaking out a bit!! The condom slipped off a week or two ago, but we didn't notice until after. Every day since, I've been having cramps - usually they only come when AF is around. I've also been pretty bitchy to my poor husband - bitchiness was the first clue that I was pregnant last time.

Not that it would be the end of the world to be pregnant; it worked out pretty well last time. But it's such an inconvenient time as we're planning to move out of the area next year!

Could anyone tell they were pregnant immediately? Or are my nerves getting to me?

Yep. Each time I wanted to rip OH ahead off for very irrational reasons 😂

VikingLady · 27/12/2022 22:34

Yup. Instant vile temper, very tired, and my food aversions started instantly!

Polik · 27/12/2022 22:44

Yep. I went to sleeping 12h plus daily from as little as 4-5 days post ovulation with all if mine (5 pregnancies, 4 children). I knew without any doubt a week post ovulation, I was so tired. By the end of my cycle it seemed pointless testing, because I absolutely already knew so was merely a formality

Demento · 27/12/2022 22:51

Farting for me Blush and needing a wee loads.

TinaYouFatLard · 27/12/2022 22:52

Yes. I can’t explain it well but I could feel my uterus. It just felt different.

abbey44 · 27/12/2022 22:53

Yes, I had an overwhelming craving for Marmite by the spoonful straight from the jar every single time (four pregnancies, two children). Long time ago now, but it happened before the pregnancy tests at the time showed a positive.

SwimSwim · 27/12/2022 23:00

Yeah, my resting HR was up by almost 10bpm from ovulation and never went back to normal. This happened in both of my pregnancies. I wear a Garmin, so it's really noticeable.

supadupapupascupa · 27/12/2022 23:02

Yes. My boobs tingled. Was right every time

I swear I could feel implantation with my last pregnancy. I was at a Christmas event and had these very strange almost stabby feelings! Tested a couple of days later and got a positive. I do think that paranoia could make you feel like you’re pregnant though! I’ve had that before as well, turned out I wasn’t.

RosieRainbow1986 · 27/12/2022 23:10

I had no clue!!! All the times I thought I was...I wasn't! And when I found out recently I only did the test to get it out of the way so I could move on and get the disappointment out of the way...was amazed and thrilled when a line came up!

blueflagflyhigh · 28/12/2022 09:53

Both times I had absolutely no idea. First time was such a shock we had been trying for 10 months I thought I wld just know.

I do know other people though who have sore boobs or feel sick very early on and that makes them do a test which is then positive!

I’ve e definitely felt that! It bloody hurt!!

yeah I know before I test positive. But not the first two times, I’ve learnt what it feels like.

With both my boys I knew before I could even test. With my eldest I was vomiting about 5 days before my period was due.

I've been pregnant three times and have known each time. That said, I also knew the exact time when I lost my first baby. I woke up and told dh that baby was gone. That was at 8 weeks and I didn't start until 12 weeks. The scan said baby had grown to 8 week

SunshineClouds1 · 28/12/2022 09:58

I knew first time, sadly ended in MMC but I just had that feeling! Very weird tbf

Exactly the same for me!
I still remember that feeling of loosing the baby and knew deep down what happened

Cherryana · 28/12/2022 09:59

Yes. Second time, because I knew what it felt like - I knew straight away. Definitely a week before it showed on the test.

Boobs sensitive.
Could feel my uterus filling up.
So hungry it felt like there was a black hole in my stomach.

KnickerlessParsons · 28/12/2022 10:12

Not me, but DH knew I was pregnant before I did. He said I smelled different and urged me to take a test.

ToddleToddleToddle · 28/12/2022 15:29

Thanks ladies! Feeling a bit bloated this week but could just as easily be pigs in blanket syndrome! Period is due mid-Jan so will be anxiously waiting to see!

HR on Fitbit increased rapidly from around 60bpm to 80bpm.

purplecorkheart · 28/12/2022 15:35

My aunt with all her three knew when she walked passed or into a butcher shop.

Thelongwayround · 28/12/2022 15:45

Yeah I always know by 5-7 dpo due to crushing tiredness and enhanced sense of smell. And with my first, sore nipples.

QueenLagertha · 28/12/2022 19:29

Another one who noticed steep increase in Fitbit RHR! I do admit to thinking I was pregnant quite a few months when I wasn't though!

Barleysugar86 · 28/12/2022 19:32

I could tell by six weeks without a test. I couldn't stand the taste of (previously loved) tea and coffee.

Shanialouise · 03/01/2023 13:18

Been feeling tired even though I'm sleeping very hungry constantly and not myself did a pregnancy test this morning can anyone tell me whether this is a positive result or a evaporation line
The line came up 3 minutes after test was done

Anybody able to immediately tell they're pregnant?
MissBPotter · 03/01/2023 16:01

Ooh looks promising but blue lines are a little dodgy, try a frer?
