New to the board, 28+4 days today, went for my 28 week growth scan (I’m age 41 and due in March). I didn’t realise all the scan would entail but it started with measurements of baby’s head, abdomen and thigh. All measuring fine, actually head and abdomen measuring slightly bigger than gestation, but sonographer happy. Also examined blood flow in baby’s cord. Tried a few times, said the signal wasn’t great. At the end when I was in my jacket all ready to leave she said she was booking me for another scan next week as one part of cord the pressure was high, but baby could be lying on it. I was a little taken aback. Didn’t really ask anything else and left. Anyone else been in the same boat? Was everything ok? I’ve come home and just feel worried and deflated. Starting to panic that baby isn’t getting what he needs :( a week over new year seems like a long time for next appt. I have midwife on Thur so I will be asking questions then. I’ve even tried to book a private growth scan but can’t get on before end of the week. Any experiences folks? Thanks 🙏
