Brown Discharge

hi, i am asking maybe to put my mind at ease. I am 8 weeks 5 days pregnant and already had my first scan where we were able to hear a heart beat. Had implementation bleeding and a week later started seeing faint brown discharge which stopped and after a week seeing it again for 3 consecutive days now and on 1 of the days pink when i wiped but didn't see it again. Is it normal? have any one experienced this?
The doctor said it was normal but hearing about other peoples experiences may put my mind at ease. this is my second pregnancy and never had these symptoms. Also getting s mild pain between inner tight and private part when i walk. Gonna go mad :)

Hi, I’ve also had this too and I’m 7 weeks. Had a pain in my thigh on one side. Have my first appointment on Wed. Hope all’s with you. I haven’t had any scan yet. Have brown spotting very slightly but told it’s quite common?

I was worried as I was seeing this every day. Doctor said not to worry unless it is fresh blood and have very bad cramping.
Have my next appointment in January cannot wait.

I’ve had this too. Pink to brown at 6+2. Then pink again at 8+4. Nearly 10 weeks now and I’ve spoken to a total of 4 nurses/midwives who say it’s not a concern unless it progresses to fresh red blood. Very scary though.

Weirdly I’ve also had some pain around the top of one thigh since the very beginning. Nobody has been at all interested in that.

I had this. I had red blood at 5 weeks 4 days and it kept going pink to brown. I had a scan at 7 weeks and all seemed ok, they found some pockets of blood which were normally and likely the problem. It stopped after a few weeks in the end was so worrying though so I feel your pain!

I had fresh red blood + big clot at 10 weeks. Scan didn't show any issues and no one knew what caused it but it was guessed it could've been a hematoma that burst.

I had brown blood at 8-9 weeks lovely, brown blood is old blood. I went and had a scan and they saw I had a very small subchorionic hematoma which was causing the old brown blood! I'm now 24 weeks xx

Hi I have also been having this yesterday and today but also with cramping like period pains. Not much discharge on my liner but when I wipe there seems a lot, hoping it’s nothing to worry about as I’m 6weeks tomorrow. Did any of you have cramps too? X

@xttcbabyno1x thanks for replying, pleased to hear it’s normal, as I have had it for 2 full days was getting a bit worried as well as the discharge being more when I wiped! My cramps feel better this morning already so hoping they are done for a while 😂 good luck with the rest of your pregnancy 🥰 x

Morning everyone, HNY!
First time poster this morning.
I’m 6+6 and have had some light brown spotting over the last few days. This is my first pregnancy and it’s got me terrified. I’m also worried that I’ve now had a loss of symptoms but I don’t know if I’m making that up purely because I was so full of them last week. Also google is not your friend. I don’t have my first appointment for another 3 weeks, I’m a nervous wreck!!

I’ve had brown blood since about 5pm last night. Sore boobs have disappeared and feeling very ‘un pregnant’ now 😞 not even got any cramps or anything. I’m 7 weeks but I think my journey has ended here. I hope you all go on to have beautiful babies.

@Hi39 i was the same yesterday, my boobs still feel a bit sore but nothing else. I haven’t had any symptoms upto the cramps and brown discharge yesterday, keeping fingers crossed for us both 🙏

@Hi39 oh dear I’m sorry to hear that 🥲 is it enough to fill a pad or just when you wipe? Mine was heavier yesterday than Friday, I did have a few tears last night thinking this is it, but then a lot of posts I have read say only to be concerned if it’s red blood, keep positive 🥰 xx

@CMG92 I’d say it would fill a pad after a few hours or so but yes it’s just brown at the moment. I’m reading the thread too but I’m just going with my gut. You can’t help but think the worst. Hope all’s well for you x

I can't say I had brown blood that filled a pad, it was literally just when I wiped! Is it too early for you to call the EPU? Or go and get a private scan x

I’ve just had an internal and he said it was old blood and my womb was very much still closed so don't give up hope ladies because I thought that was it!

Thanks ladies, hope all’s well with you too. I’m still not convinced as all of my symptoms have completely vanished, totally gone but will find out tomorrow as I have to go back for a scan.

Hi everyone had a good day today with no cramping and no discharge, iv rested all day then tonight the brown discharge has started again. Is it normal to have pain and discharge for 2 days then it starts again? I’m 6+1, not sure if I’m worrying over nothing 😫

@CMG92 if you have a subchorionic hematoma yes this is normal as long as brown ☺️ can you book for an early scan?

Hi everyone

After 4 days of light brown spotting, I had some fresher pink blood yesterday evening. Feeling very helpless now.
Called the hospital and I'm going for a scan on Thursday.
Pregnancy is hard and this is my first. I'm so upset and feel like all optimism is fading away.

@CB23CB aww it’s such a worrying time. I pray all is well for you and Thurs comes round quick. I have a scan later today but unfortunately I know I have lost my little seed. It has made me stop googling so much as I was driving myself mad. I will keep everything crossed for you, I really will xx
