Warning picture inserted- mucus plug?

Im 36+1. I'm so sorry if I sound stupid but this is my first pregnancy. I have just been to the loo, only to discover this upon wiping. It had a greener tinge in real life. Could it be the beginning of mucus plug? Or just normal/random discharge? Any advice would be great ❤️❤️

Thought i should say, even if this is mucous plug, I understand it does not always mean labour is nearing. Just curious if anyone else has had this 😊👍❤️

It doesn't look the mucous plug to me from my experience (though I only saw it with one of mine). However, if it has a green tinge, if it is the mucous plug, I'd contact someone to ask about it. You might need to get checked to make sure that it's not from a slight leak with meconium staining. I'm sure all is fine but I'm of the school of thought that you can't be too careful and better to check than not.

BTW, my plugs was longer with slight blood streaking.

I had a lot of this throughout my pregnancy I was told it was a mix of mucus and tiny bits of plug being lost but didn't mean labour was close, when I did lose my actual plug (I was induced though so bit different for me), it was that texture but lots of it and quite a lot of blood in it.

Not long now :)
