Am I pregnant after my MMC? Help

I recently had a miscarriage at nearly 10 weeks in November. I had my op and tested negative with a strip test on the 7th December. Since, I thought I was pregnant again so had a blood test on the 9th December and my HCG level was 17 so had another blood test on the 14th and my HCG was 10, the doctor confirmed I wasn’t pregnant. Since, I’ve been showing more symptoms including very sore boobs. I did a home pregnancy test on the 22nd and used First Response 6 days early which showed a faint positive, since I’ve had 3 other tests with the same result. But, any other brand says negative. Am I pregnant?

It sounds like there is still some pregnancy hormones left from your last pregnancy as if you where confirmed not pregnant on the 14th I don't think you could be pregnant again by the 22nd that would show up on a pregnancy test, so sorry your going through this ❤️

Sorry I'd say FRER is just picking up the residual. I think their level is 5-6

I agree with others, lingering hormones. With my missed miscarriage I took a good 8 weeks to get a negative.

Thank your for your replies. The first negative test I had was 2 weeks after after the operation, those were standard tests.

FRER pick up a teeny amount of HCG. Tbh I don't think they are a good idea, they cause so much heartache. I'm sure they pick up from 6 and 5 and under is not pregnant.

@PutOnAHappyFace my HCG fell from 17 to 10 in 5 days. I know 5 and under is considered normal levels (not pregnant) so I assumed that after another 8 days it would’ve gone down to 5? Which is why I’m confused as to why I’m picking up on tests x

It's so confusing isn't it. I suppose give it a few more days and see if a test is any darker.

Also I'm so sorry for your miscarriage, they are so so cruel.

Unfortunately it doesn't drop as fast as it goes up always. After MMC my hcg took forever and a day to disappear from FRER

I had my second miscarriage in November and my period came the beginning of January. Since we have been trying to conceive. I don’t know why but I took a FRER test today and it has a faint line.

But, these tests were still giving me faint positives 2 days before I got my period.

What are your thoughts? Thank you!
