Hi I'm nearly 20 weeks this is my first pregnancy this morning I had a good cry and after when I sat up I felt a popping/cracking sensation where the baby is laying in my tummy, I know the baby is fine because she's moving and kicking all day I've never felt her move so much as I have today but I'm wondering what it was the popping sensation felt similar to the popping u get when u crack your back, or crack a joint Just really curious this is my first pregnancy I have my 20 week scan in a couple of days and I'm super excited

If it was painless then it was probably baby moving. Doing a flip or cartwheel maybe 🙂

I'm 31w and I get this!! It reminds me of lightly cracking a bone but from within my tum. No clue what it is tho.

Could it be hiccups?

One of my babies hiccuped a lot and I can remember being really surprised the first time it happened.

I had this happen once too around 20 weeks. 38 weeks now and everything is fine, it is freaky though when it happens! Not sure what causes it but try not to worry I'm sure you and baby are alright, I think I read it was fluid moving or something?

I had this in my last pregnancy! Had totally forgotten about it. Sometimes my husband could hear it if he was sitting next to me. At the time I read online it was common and could be the babies joints cracking.

@Jaymar yh that's what it felt like similar to when u crack your back or fingers that popping sensation is what I felt in my womb! Was worried at first I mightve popped the baby by sitting up so quickly I know that sounds so stupid but then I knew she was fine because she's moving so much!

It’s honestly nothing to worry about. My daughter was born perfectly healthy and her joints don’t crack out here in the real world.

My baby was born with clicky hips and the noise turned out to be that. It's totally harmless and just because they are scrunched up in there, moving their legs. Baby is fine so don't worry. Baby is six months and only had clicky hips as a newborn.
