TTC - ovulation question

Hi everyone just wanted some wisdom and a chat.

i had a early miscarriage start October and tried to conceive again. My cycles had been 28-29 days before the miscarriage, but since then have been around the 30 day mark, my last period was 31 days.

I used pink clearblue ovulation test to detect 2 day ovulation (I have been having sex every couple days since my last period stopped and have been testing for ovulation - then I got a positive on 23rd of December which would be day 19 after my last period so I had sex on that day and the day after to cover it but my question is can you ovulate day 19 / 20 with a 30 day cycle and become pregnant? Or what is the best timing or normal range?

i meant to say day 19/20 on a 30/31 day cycle is it possible to ovulate then and it be in the range of ‘ normal ‘ to conceive?

Yes of course. It just pushes your period back 🙂 x

so if I ovulated according to this link clearblue ovulation test on 19th December and it’s still showing 20th December does that mean I won’t come on a 30/31 day period?

@Lou460b your luteal phase will stay the same. So if you ovulated late then AF will be late too.

I would suggest dtd for more days than just day of positive and ovulation day if it’s possible for you (ovulation happens 12-36 hours after positive, usually following day). Sperm lives inside for up to 5 days so from around CD8 it’s suggested to dtd every 2-3 days until you get the positive then dtd that day and following day. It only takes once but doesn’t hurt to maximise the chances. I’ve gotten pregnant for the last 3 cycles doing this (October and November were early miscarriages)
