I posted a few days ago about losing my dog, well today I got quite emotional yet again and I’m genuinely concerned this could affect baby… I miss him so much and I just feel so guilty… I’m also suffering from a sore throat and cold on top so I feel really runned down

Please don’t s won’t affect your baby, I’m sure. I had depression (undiagnosed at that point) through all three pregnancies, and have three well adjusted, happy young men now.

Have a massive hug from me - we lost our lovely brown lab this year,,and I know how heart wrenching it is.

I seem to have missed some words - I meant ‘please don’t worry, this won’t affect your baby’.

im so sorry for your loss, it never gets easier how many times you go through it.

I hope not, I’ve not felt much today but I think it’s from all the crying and also my coughing I’ve been doing… hope baby is ok

As people answered on your last post of course crying won't affect your baby.

Strawberriesandcreammm · 23/12/2022 22:50

hope that’s the case, I just feel guilt with everything and also not recovering from this cough well for the past two weeks I worry it’s not shifting! Just in time for Christmas eh!🙁

I lost my old girl this time last year when I was 27 weeks pregnant. I was so sad, she was my best buddy, such a good girl and I still miss her very much. I cried for a week.

Please don’t worry, crying and coughing will not harm your baby. However if you do think you have reduced movements then please contact your midwife/doctor/hospital.

A cold won't hurt your baby, but it's definitely tougher on you if you are pregnant. Just rest, take care of yourself and be easy on yourself. Sorry for your loss.
