...To wash baby clothes at 33 weeks?

I'm currently 33+1 and know baby will be here during week 39 as I'm going in for an elective. We are reusing a lot of DS1's baby clothes (he's coming on 3). So his stuff has been stored in the attic in boxes and everything needs a good wash.

I did all of the baby bedding, Moses basket etc yesterday, but how early is too early to wash the clothes?

The idea of Christmas in the way is making me panic and I've not even thought about packing my hospital bag yet either!!!

I’d start now, trying to put stuff away with a 3yo plus getting bigger… can do it little and often.

@PurBal yes that's what I was thinking! Doing a bit here and there little and often.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm 32 weeks and having an elective around 39 weeks too. I've started washing all my DD old clothes this week and packing my hospital bag as I'm on annual leave. I'm not starting mat leave until over 37 weeks and between and toddler and working full time, there was no chance I'd find time in Jan and didn't want to leave it until my mat leave!

@BabyB2022 you sound like me!! I started washing the "up to one month" clothes today. Only a few. Got a hugeee pile of 0-3 month clothes to get through which I'll probably do in between Xmas and new year now.
Do you have a date for your c section yet?
