Hello. I have unfortunately been in work with someone who’s tested positive for Covid 2 days ago. Today I have quite a scratchy throat and feeling tired and I am so worried the outcome will be Covid.

I am 23+5 pregnant. I had two injections last year in June and September but haven’t had any boosters due to having quite a bad reaction to the vaccines so felt it safer not to in case I had the reactions when pregnant - this was agreed sensible by midwife.

I also had Covid in July 2022 just before our little one was conceived.

does anyone have any positive outcomes of Covid in pregnancy? I am absolutely petrified that it could cause complications/late miscarriage/stillborn. :(

tIA xx

Sorry you've got this anxiety OP, have you got anyone who could buy and deliver you a lateral flow test tomorrow?
At least you have had some covid jabs but all you can do at this point is take the best care of yourself possible

I had Covid in the 2nd trimester (no jabs ever), aside from feeling fatigued it was fine - pregnancy continued as normal.

I also had chicken pox and gestational diabetes after Covid, it was a rollercoaster but baby arrived fine.

I’m 22 weeks and just getting over a bout of covid. Felt really rubbish for about 5 days but afaik no ill effects and baby is happily wriggling away

Thank you all! I have done a Covid test but as it was only two days ago think it may take longer to come out if it does turn to Covid.

goad to hear some reassuring stories of babies being ok 🤞🏼 Had a rough pregnancy with two suspected miscarriages at start with heavy bleeding etc and still feel like I’ve been on blood watch for weeks so to get another fear thrown into the mix. I feel like I’ve waited so long to get to 24w in the hope viability is a possibility and as soon as I found out she had Covid I felt like that may be snatched as quick as it arrived! Xx

I had covid at 28weeks and felt very poorly. Baby is now 6months and thriving. Would never know that I had had it.
