Flu Jab

Hey lovely people.
Thinking of getting the flu jab. Currently 9 weeks. From what I can see online it's safe and recommended as it's riskier catching the flu. Anyone have any personal advice or experience to share on this? Is there a particular time to which is best to get it? Thank you

I had flu jab at 12 weeks, now 21wks and 20wk scan looked good. The flu jab is very safe in pregnancy, while getting the flu can be dangerous for both you and the foetus.

I had mine at 6/7 months I think, all fine

I’ve had it in both my pregnancies, no side affect at all. I’d Get it asap because flu is doing the rounds now!

I had flu in my pregnancy and was admitted to hospital as i was so ill, and there were some complications.
I'd get the jab quick.

I’m 9 weeks too and just used the NHS app. Got an appointment tomorrow as the pharmacy. Wanted to try and get it done asap and checked with the midwife at my booking appointment yesterday and she recommended to book as soon as possible also. Very easy to book too.

obviously not as bad as the flu would be... and it seems everyones sick atm. I wish it wasnt winter think i was poorlier cos i was adjusting to the jab and whatever illness i had

I got it at the earliest opportunity in Sept (was in the second trimester at the time). We then caught what we think was the flu and thank goodness for the vaccine. I felt rough for a couple of days but quickly recovered and was nothing compared to those family members who caught it without the vaccine.
