What are your plans after you give birth with maternity leave etc? I’ve already had to turn down jobs that clash with my EDD. I work from home and have flexibity but I’m slightly worried.

You can apply for maternity allowance but it doesn't amount to much to be honest - around £600/month. I spent my second and earlier third trimester hammering extra work of an evening and weekend and have managed to save a lot of money to help me cover maternity. I also have a husband who will help too but it's not ideal! I think I'll be able to afford 6 months off with my baby and I am working as close to my due date as possible!

It's defo not easy but just do what works for you and if that's going back in sooner then needs must!
